Questions & Answers

Will a 4X large fit me if I wear 3X shirts and have a 56-inch waist?

Yes. You might want to think about the tall option.

Does it come in a small size?

Yes, this guy is incorrect; I'm the same size as him and the small would not fit; the mediums, on the other hand, run on the short side in length, but he is incorrect.

I have a 40 inch waist and an XL Carhartt jacket that is a little too big for me. Do you think a large would fit me well?

I weigh 195 pounds and stand 6 feet tall. 36" inseam (at hips / large) The Lg. has a gut size of 46 inches and a chest size of 46 inches. Carhartt J140 fits well, though I wish the waistband was a little smaller, so I'm guessing it'll fit a 40" waist. Good luck!

What size should someone with a height of 6'2" and a weight of 260 pounds wear?

5'11" is the height of my husband. Approximately 125. He couldn't fit into a large. For the person you described, I'd probably go with a 1X or 2X (whichever size they wear after extra large). I say this because you wear sweaters and long-sleeved bulky shirts underneathneth during the winter.

Review of the size
5/5

I went down a size, as many people suggest. It fits well, but I would have preferred to order my normal size. I believe that many people who have never worn Carhartt before are ordering this as a fashion piece. As a result, there have been numerous complaints and sizing confusions. I'm a working man who enjoys T-shirts of all kinds. I have a few large Carhartt shirts. Sure, they're a tad bigger than your average t-shirt. However, you will have more room to move around and WORK if you wear a shirt like this. I went down a size for this, and while it fits fashionably for a jacket, it doesn't cover my ass, which would be useful in the cold.

Do not purchase 2XL if you are a fat person
5/5

Choose 1XLT / Tall (a size smaller than Tall). So. If you're a stocky or large person, 2XL is a good option. Don't! 2XL was M A S S I V E for me, baggy at the bottom, baggy at the cuffs, but bunched up in the shoulders. I'm 5'7 230 pounds, and 2XL was M A S S I V E for me, baggy at the bottom, baggy at the cuffs, but bunched up in the shoulders. All of my other 2XL Carhartt clothing fits perfectly, but the 2X jacket does not. I switched from a 2XL to a 1XL Tall, and it's the perfect length; my shoulders aren't bunched up, the cuffs and bottom of the jacket are just right, and there are no drafts like there were with the 2XL. br>br>Agree with all of the previous reviews in terms of the jacket's build quality, feel, and insulation. It has made me very happy.

Be careful who you buy from
3/5

I got my Carhartt jacket (J140 in gravel) yesterday and noticed a single 3-inch "vein" running up the right shoulder that looked like a hard water stain almost immediately. I followed Carhartt's instructions for washing the jacket (gentle cycle, mild detergent, tumble dry on low heat). br>br>When I took the brand new jacket out of the dryer, I discovered hard water veins all over it, from the hood to the waistline! It looks like a stone wash or acid wash finish from the 1980s. This is a disaster. br>br>Carhartt offered to inspect the jacket for defects, but said my size wouldn't be back in stock for another 9 months and that there was nothing else they could do. br>br>In the end, if you're buying this jacket for work, the rugged construction will serve you well; however, if you're looking for a new-looking jacket, you'll be sorely disappointed. br>br>I was duped out of $109. 00 and was given a jacket that appeared to be ten years old.

This is the ideal heavyweight hoodie
5/5

Warm and comfortable, with double pockets on the inside. There's also a heavy-duty main zipper, and mine is made in the United States! This well-made jacket is one I would strongly recommend.

If you're 6'2 and 205 pounds, size up and accept the fat look

This is a great way to keep the winter chill at bay
5/5

I knew I needed to order a size smaller than I normally would after reading several reviews and finally trying one on in the store before purchasing. For several years, I've worn a black jacket with my company logo on it, but the long, cold winters in North Dakota made me want something different for my everyday wear jacket. For days, temperatures have been well below zero (-). I need something that can withstand temperatures of 20 degrees or more (with wind chills even lower), and I need something that can withstand these temperatures. It's done with this jacket. It's a little stiff at first, but I'm sure it'll soften up with use, and the color is a lovely shade of red that's very comfortable. I expect it to last a long time, as is typical of Carhartt.

The most amazing jacket I've ever owned! Carhartt was one of my favorite brands growing up
5/5

This jacket excels not only in terms of comfort but also in terms of warmth. The outer layer is designed to provide significant wind protection, which is half of the battle in the winter. While the inner layers aren't particularly thick, they're ideal for layering against the cold, especially when paired with a sweatshirt or a basic long-sleeve shirt. For years, this has been my go-to jacket. It is strongly suggested that everyone owns one. It's suitable for a variety of weather conditions, from mild to bitterly cold.

In terms of fit and quality, Fit: I am 5' 11" and weigh 165 pounds, so I ordered a large
4/5

It's a little big in the body, but the sleeves are a little short, and I'd like it to be a little longer in the body, so I'm going to re-size it. I'm going to order it in a big long size. As soon as I receive the large long, I will update this review. Quality: br>br>Quality: br>br>Quality: br>br>Quality It's of Carhartt's high quality. It's a little stiff, and the zipper is a bit of a pain to use. so - I've owned three Carhartt jackets, and their zippers could definitely be better. Although their zippers appear to be sturdy and long-lasting, they do not operate smoothly. br>br>Shipping: br>br>Shipping: br>br>Shipping: DUNGAREES has a slow shipping policy. It arrived on January 4th after I ordered it on December 26th. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I got the large long and it fits me better. The sleeve length is just right. I don't mind that the length extends to cover half of my buttocks. A medium length might work for my build as well, but there wouldn't be enough room underneath for layers.
