Questions & Answers

I just wanted to double-check that I ordered a Medium. ?

Even with a thick hoodie under it, the medium I ordered was too roomy for my husband, who stands 5'6" and weighs 150 pounds. In exchange for a small, I returned his.

Should I get a 3xl or a size larger if I normally wear a 3xl?

Stay true to your size; my husband wears a 3XL and has plenty of room to move even when wearing a thick shirt underneath. As a result, I recommend getting the 3 XL.

Is there a pocket on the inside of this vest? Are the inside pockets on the right or left side of the vest, and if so, how big are they? Thanks. ?

It measures 5 1/2 x 7 inches and has a pocket on the inside left side. On the top, there is a Velcro closure. Please let me know if you have any other questions for which I can provide an answer.

What size should I buy if I am 6 feet tall and weigh 270 pounds?

At the very least, a size XL, if not a size 2XL is required. You can use Carhartt's sizing chart on their website, which is based on chest measurement.

This thing should be used to bury me
5/5

Have you ever been on a hunting trip and been told that every pore on your sweaty, camouflaged body is oozing raw liquid gaseous sex appeal? Once, I did it. When I wore this vest, my heterosexual life mate made me feel like the queen of England on prom night, and if you buy this vest, your heterosexual life mate can make you feel like the queen of England on prom night as well. I wasn't lying when I said it felt like Patrick Swayze was lifting up a baby in dirty dancing and I was a baby! It was like having George Michael sing Careless Whisper to me, or having Post Malone give me a back rub while Usher gave me a foot rub while I watched Garden State in IMAX. This vest has pockets in which I keep love notes from all the boys it brings to the yard, as well as a piece of fabric on which I can hang it on my wall, transforming it into a beacon of light that shines into the sky, alerting the neighbors that a true American lives in their midst. It looks great on my dog as well.

In comparison to Carhartt coats, vests are short and small
5/5

Let's start with sizing: I'm 5'10" and weigh around 300 pounds, with a large stomach and broad shoulders. I have several 2XL Carhartt coats that are roomy and allow me to layer underneath, so ordering the vest was a learning experience for me. They are small and have a short lifespan. They're supposed to be a tight fit, right? I ordered a 3XLT vest knowing this would be the case; I can still wear layers underneath, but it's a tighter fit that's still comfortable. My torso is slightly longer than average at 5'10" with a 30" inseam, so the vest's length just covers my belt. br>br>The vest is made of stiff unwashed duck cotton. I ran it through a normal wash and dry cycle because it was too stiff at first. It shrank a little and the lining fluffed up a little, making it fit a little tighter at first, but after a few wears it loosened up again. The outer shell is a little stiff right now, but it's getting better with each wear. The interior is made of a warm, smooth quilted material. In the low 40s, a sweatshirt and this vest are ideal for outdoor activities. The pockets are lined, big, and toasty. Rain beads up and runs off the vest after a single wash, and the zipper is strong and hasn't let me down yet. I'm frequently in and out of buildings in the PNW winter, and this vest is ideal for that. When I'm outside, I'm warm enough to wear a sweatshirt, but not too hot when I'm in my truck or store for a short time. Despite the odd sizing, I think the vest is great. Oh, and this 3XLT vest fits nicely under my regular full swing classic coat in size 2XL. To give you an idea of how different vests and coats fit, here's an example.

A slim man's opinion
4/5

This vest appears to have a lot of negative feedback from big men who say it's too small and short in the front. In the end, it fits as expected for a vest. In the front, it only reaches the belt, but it is longer in the back. In the winter, I wear my vest for ten hours a day. Typically, a thermal and flannel are layered, with a hoodie thrown in for good measure. br>Because I'm slim, I prefer to wear more stylish/fitted clothing. A medium is a good fit because this vest is primarily for work and will be worn with multiple layers underneath it. It is, however, noticeably wider (armpit-to-armpit). The medium is far roomier than the old vest I used, so I might be able to wear a small. br>The blue color is very nice, and it has a slightly more washed appearance than expected. It contrasts beautifully with the brass zipper. br>The collar is my only real complaint. It looks nice, but it always rubs on the front and sides of my neck, even when only half-zipped. way. It's mildly annoying, so I'm hoping it'll break in. It's not going to work. It's not a deal breaker, but it's strange.

I usually wear an xl, but I wear a medium when it comes to Carhartt gear. I weigh 215 pounds and stand 5' 11" tall. I hope this information is useful to someone else.

Is it a forgery? Mexico, but without the triple stitching! I was excited to receive and open the package, but I was disappointed to discover that it was only double stitched, rather than triple stitched
3/5

Mexico is the source of this product. Is it a forgery or a genuine piece of artwork? Unlike other Carhartt products I've purchased, this one was extremely disappointing.

I'm 5'11", 195lbs, 32" waist, 48" chest, and ordered a Large, which was slightly too big in the chest and way too big in the waist
5/5

I threw it in the washer and dryer on high heat and it shrank enough to fit properly. I do wish, however, that the waste was a little less. Aside from that, it's a great-looking, high-quality vest that's both warm and comfortable.

They're the best vest ever, and they'll last you a lifetime
5/5

My husband finally agreed to order a new Carhartt vest after I threatened to throw his old ripped, shredded, and worn-out one in the trash (it was 20 years old and had outlived its usefulness). What I like about these is that ordering a replacement is simple as long as you remember the style and size of the previous one (which is listed on the inside label). Sizes don't change; they're always the same, making it simple to find exactly what you're looking for. I didn't think he'd be able to survive another winter without one. Both of us are now grinning.

Order tall in your regular size for the husky guys
5/5

I've been wearing this vest for a month and I absolutely love it. Zipper is a pain to use, but it gets the job done. To get it started, I have to wiggle it around and pull it up. The Zipper is solid once it has been zipped up. The zipper is thick, and the stitching throughout is excellent. Inside, I find it to be very cushiony, warm, and practical. I'm too hot in a sweater or jacket, but too cold when I'm not wearing one. I sweat profusely, to the point of being drenched, and I work in a cold warehouse. The Vest regulates my body temperature to a comfortable level. I can unzip it if it gets too hot for me. It's very easy to clean. It's best to dry it on a clothesline. It looks fantastic. A small amount of discoloration in the middle, near the sticking. It's only natural. To move the boxes, I hug them all day. br>br>I originally ordered a size down, L regular, after reading that it was too big. The chest was a little tight, and the length was an issue. I am 6 feet tall, 240 pounds, and have a husky build, so the vest ended just below my belt. The XL Tall was the perfect fit for me, providing plenty of coverage without being too baggy. Initially, layering was a non-issue for me. I'm glad I have it now because it allows me to layer. This is a very warm best. The quilting is thick and soft on the inside. It isn't as smooth as flannel quilting. It's quite substantial and well-made. The pockets are a good size. I'll let you know how it goes.
