Questions & Answers

Could they survive the winter in that climate? The fabric is breathable, but not so much that it will make summers too hot? Are they suitable for running and how will they perform?

During the winter they are quite warm if you move around, but if you stand you are not so easily warmed. The summers are hot and u kind of sweat. Even if you don't do marathons, these are good for running short distances, but they are a little heavy. It is a very good pair of boots, the only complaint I have is that I recently sent them in for resoling and Danners asked for $220, therefore, I did not resol them. I considered it to be too expensive after I used them for two years, they did not offer me a discount. This may be of some assistance.

Would anyone be able to tell me if these are completely non-toxic Do metals exist? The metal detector I go through every day at work is always on. Thanks so much. ?

A non-profit organization A metallic toe (NMT) is made of the following materials In addition to our core services Neither the heat nor the cold are transmitted by metallic toe. There is no reason for metal detectors to go off. In the expected manner, it meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-2004 I/75 C/75 EH standards for 11 M.

Can these boots be worn for hiking and walking? Are they hard-shelled or more soft & flexible with the added benefit of being comfortable?

Although they are stiff at first, they are comfortable once they are broken in. By the end of the day, they will fit your foot perfectly and will become more flexible and comfortable for you. My opinion is that these boots are more of a work boot than hiking boots.

The difference between 12 b n and 12 d m is. ?

Just being redundant is all that they are doing. Some companies call D a standard width for men, which is also called Medium or M by others. B is Danner's next narrower width from D. 'n' stands for narrow, and 'b' stands for narrow. It is common to find manufacturers who manufacture C widths.

Fitting them is like slipping on a great pair of gloves
5/5

Several of my pairs of Danner were purchased from me. The height is two feet. Prior to this purchase, we owned two Acadias, a Lewis (insulated) and a Lewis (uninsulated). I wear them every day to work. There are five in my oldest pair, two in the next, one in 17, one in 10, and one in ten years old. During my time on duty I wore the oldest pair and then for training when I replaced them with the others (one Army, one Air Force). - Lewis & Acadia). - Despite their age, the last pair is still wearable, but they are starting to show a few signs of wear. It will hopefully be my 5th pair of Acadias that I purchase to last until retirement (8 years from now). Resoled shoes are not only good for the quality, but they can also be repaired. It is worthwhile to invest in the boots in the long run. It's difficult to find other brands that are as light as Danner boots that would be comparable to them. The quality is still there, however. Being that these are the only boots I have worn in my 25 years of service, I have no knowledge of any other brands or styles of boots, except that my boots last longer than my co-workers, who invest in boots of different brands. It is also important to consider the break-in This is a pain in the rear. At the back. It will take a little while for you to get used to them, but once you have, they become like great fitting gloves. A picture of my boots can be found at the bottom of the page. As far as my training is concerned, I still use the older pair while I use the new ones for my daily work.

"THE Duty Boot that all Duty Boots should aspire to be
5/5

" There is nothing better than a boot that has been around since police officers were police officers. Boots that look as good as any other on the market and last for a lifetime. Resoles can be done, and are needed after one year and a half, but the upper will last for a lifetime. I work with a crusty employee who still uses the same pair 15 years after it was purchased. If you kick something with these boots, it stays kicked unlike many ultralight boots that don't stick There are models which can withstand water. A few months into use, the airthotic insert will start to crack. It is comfortable, but it will not last. The insert will need to be replaced at least once per year to ensure safety. A positive aspect they look great There is no end to their existence.

Conclusive advice Put your cash where your mouth is.

Buying them is the best way to end the debate! This is a decision you won't regret! When you are on the fence about whether you will buy this boot or another one, just buy this one! There is nothing you need to worry about
5/5

This pair of boots has been in my possession for about three months now and I simply Based on my experience with them, here's what I think. The Danner Kinetic GTX boot in size 11 was my footwear of choice before I bought the Acadia boot. After my superb observation skills allowed me to assess the situation, I determined that I probably needed to order the same size in the Acadia boots as my Kinetic GTX boots fit perfectly. But since I have plantar fasciitis, I did not think to allow for extra width to accommodate my custom orthotic. To account for the space taken up by the orthotic, these boots do not have removable insoles, so you need to order a size larger than what you normally wear. The number 11 is an The 5 2E allowed me to use my custom orthotic insert, and yet it still felt absolutely perfect from a comfort and fit perspective. I would recommend wearing these boots one size wider than what you normally wear, unless your foot likes very snug boots. If you are one of the people who does not need a lot of support in their boots, I would still recommend this style. Honestly, I took these boots between one and two months to break in for proper comfort. In addition to wearing them to break them in, I used Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP (Leather Protectant) to soften the leather and protect it in the long run. I have noticed that the leather on my boots is not only softer, but that it is also My experiences with these boots have been in cooler and warmer weather as well as in wet weather. As far as I'm concerned, I've faced no problems. After experiencing an Arizona summer wearing these boots, I will update this review based on how they felt in extreme heat conditions. However, I feel very comfortable with these boots, as they would protect my feet from just about anything I might encounter While the boots aren't designed to run in, they offer good traction. I have had to run in them a couple of times, and they feel heavy and clunky. I have yet to become exhausted in these boots, even after wearing them for a period of ten hours A pair of these boots is rated as comfortable for 16 hours at a time. Other boots I considered in place of these ones include Under Armour Stellar and Valstetz boots, Bates Durashocks, Rocky Paraboots, and Under Armour Kinetic GTX (yes, a second pair was purchased because they were so comfortable). In the end, I chose Acadia boots because of their highly positive reviews, their ability to be resoled, and their durability and comfort. Not that the other boots were bad, but each of them had one or more aspects of their boots that could not compete with Acadia's.

Boots that are perfect for duty! It's just a matter of ordering a wide size! A size 11 is normally worn by me
5/5

There is almost no way to fit an 11 in a 5. Moreover, you need to be forewarned The only way to make sure this boot fits your foot is to get a wide width, unless your foot is very narrow. Except for that, I have nothing but good things to say about this boot, especially when we're going to be standing/walking for a long period of time on concrete. There have been several sneaker type boots that I've worn in the past. I have taken 11 ATAC, Rocky's, Nike, Under Armour, and CAbelas in the last five years and usually get 8 or higher The duration of each is 12 months. Acadia's sounded too clunky and uncomfortable to me, so I didn't want to spend the money on them. There was something wrong with me! There are a few pounds more weight on them than on I would say they're more stable and have better traction than the 11's, they feel much more solid and come with a lot more ankle support. It takes some time for them to break in since they are stiff out of the box, especially when you wear them for the first time. It was also nice to have a zipper on the side of these boots since I've never had luck with side zippers before. It is too early to say how they perform in wet and cold weather conditions, but I don't see that being an issue. The first thing you should do is apply Danner Boot Dressing to your boots, then do it every 6 months and they'll remain in great condition. I plan to wear the acadias for my entire career since the cost of the boot and the recraftability make them a great investment. If I can get at least 5 years out of them, as other reviewers have said, that will save me money in the long run.

For over six years we owned them
5/5

I own no better boots in my entire life than these. I estimate they have logged over 300 miles over the last six years based on my FitBit. I am amazed at how new they look. Due to me wearing them the majority of the time in the field, they look great and they are new. It is false advertising and Chinese junk to claim Redwing and Irish Setter boots are authentic. A pair of shoes has been returned to the manufacturer for warranty repair. In honor of which they are giving more junk to the Chinese. I cannot reach them on the phone. Despite not having the additional funds, I would still be wearing all my Danner Boots if I had spent them. As I prepare to buy another pair of boots-Danner Made in the USA, naturally-I am thinking about purchasing another pair of boots. I'm looking for a pair of shoes that do not have steel toes for chainsawing.
