This is a ZERO STARS rating. There are two serious design flaws in this boot that make it one of the most uncomfortable boots ever made. A brand new boot has a hole on the inside of the boot, which is the first and worst The two sides face each other. As shown in picture 3, a faux leather strip doubles over to serve as a loop for the laces. As you can see, there is a A flat plastic plate is sewed to the outside of the boot, and then this is sewn under a flat plastic plate. By doing so, this design flaw creates a lump that, in turn, creates a pressure point inside the boot that, when laced, is immediately apparent. The second design flaw can be found on the inside of the liner where you have a raised vertical white seam form the footbed up into the top portion of the boot which is the texture of heavy bailing twine, rubbing against the Buying them and returning them is not an option. I do not recommend in any way. It's a zero-star rating. My own hand made Italian Zamberlan Lynx mid 8" GTX boots were just $3 at Bob Wards, thanks to their Italian manufacturer. More than 900 pairs of shoes that are goretex and known for their comfort and quality can be resoled as well. The Salomon boot is 100 times bigger than an average boot. In addition, Salomon's is made offshore while Zamberlan prefers to make it in the U. S. The U. S. market was so important that they built a factory in our country that created jobs for Americans. It would have been nice to buy Zamberlan's but I did not think they would be affordable considering they are considered among the world's best boots, but then my friend told me they are actually $309 on their website. Then I saw Bob Wards selling them for I'm sure you'll be delighted when you get these!.
I am a police officer in south Texas, it gets hot and wet. I have to work 16 hour shifts so comfortable performance footwear is a must. Initially, they take a few days to break in, but once they do you barely notice their presence. The boots are very good at supporting your ankles without feeling restricting. They aren't running shoes but you can run in them, and they are fairly heavy for boots. In my department, if the boots need to be polishable, they can be polished all the way to a nice shine, but without polish they're a non-starter It is matte black with a reflective finish.
These boots are super comfy and a great deal. BOOGALOO BOOTS LET'S GOOOOOOOO* hahahaha but seriously they are kind of awesome. These hiking and camping shoes were a great purchase for me. Since they are green, and green is my favorite color, I got them in this color and model. It makes me feel powerful and as if I have authority when I wear them. Oh my gosh, that's so weird. Thoughts like that are so cool.
Years ago, I bought these boots and I still wear them today. They hold up really well. I have a pair that I bought in 2017 and still wear every day to work. The old pair of socks will eventually wear out, so I bought a new one. Despite being heavy, they fit very well, and are not as heavy as you might expect. After they have been broken in, they form to the shape of Stepping into a cast of your own feet is like putting on a suit. Since I have rolled my ankle too many times over the years, I take comfort in high boots like these. The shoe I have now is the best I have ever owned. It is impossible to express how much I love these. Both my husband and I have bought some as well. Even though the price is a bit steep, I think the price is worth it for the long-term durability.
Instead of going up a half size, I ordered these in my regular size and they fit nicely, however if I had a wide foot I am certain they would be snug. I found the toe box to be spacious and the ankle support to be more than satisfactory. Despite the fact that these are not the lightest boots, I'm willing to give up the weight for peace of mind. They come with a speed lace system that isn't quick, but handles the job. A rough terrain tread seems to be well suited to the tire. The known characteristics of these boots make them seem like five-star boots at first glance. A lightweight shoe is not suitable for anyone with a wide feet or if you want to have a super wide foot. When I have hiked for at least one mile, I will edit this review.
Sorry to hear you were Solomon's shoes are light and comfortable to wear right out of the box. I wear Solomon's hiking. In addition to being heavy and stiff, these boots also hurt my feet after only 8 hours. I don't wear them on my 16 hour days - I instead wear my worn out under armors. Normally I would return them, however, the instructions at the time of purchase stated that they would not accept returns if the shoes were worn outside. I am not sure how I'd know how they feel unless I used They are a mistake I regret making.
While climbing Mount Toubkal in Morocco at an elevation of 4170 meters (13700 feet) in rocky terrain, I wore these boots. Both climbing and descending boulders are made easier with the excellent grip of the soles. It provides a very good support and is comfortable to wear. It is also very breathable. In these boots, I spent my longest day of the year at 10 hours. I had no blisters nor sore feet after two days of hiking (as long as you wear liners and get the right size). I crossed a few streams and puddles by foot, and the waterproofing worked just fine.
I have never worn or placed better shoes on my feet than these ones. My name is Joe, I am 60 years old and I am a police officer and these shoes are the most comfortable I've ever worn.
