Clearly, my last review of this watch went into greater depth on this matter, but in a nutshell, this watch has proved useful more often than not and I often wear it without sport activities for the convenience of checking what emails are awaiting me, giving me current weather information, etc. It was also helpful to use the find your device app. In addition to using the sleep tracking feature, I am also using the cellular monitoring device. Heart rate monitors seem to be the only thing that is hit or miss.
It does not work with a carrier you must use a mobile device or tablet with it to take advantage of its call, text, email, and messaging This has nothing to do with the network, it has everything to do with the phone or tablet that you own.
The equipment I use to measure the heart rate of my patients is not different from what I would use to measure my own. While it is slower to register based on the sensor on your finger, it is much faster when you really use the sensor on your fingertip, however, I believe it closely corresponds to the monitors we use in my clinic during exercise. It took me a while to decide on the Basis Band, and I honestly prefer the Neo 2 and Gear Fit.
In the Neo model there is no camera (which is why it's so cheap) you cannot take pictures or record videos with it. The camera can display pictures that you upload to it through a computer and a USB cable. It does not appear to be possible to playback video.

I was very happy with the purchase at first, but it has quickly become one of the most annoying purchases I have ever made! The watch worked well when it was working. The pedometer feature helped me stay on top of my fitness routine every day, and meeting alerts helped me keep track of my schedule. As far as Samsung is concerned, they don't stand by their products. This device was clearly marketed for an active lifestyle, but they refused to fix the product when they realized how poorly designed it was for exercise. I didn't get a different answer from the supervisor when I spoke with him. Neither the company nor I were comfortable with the marketing, and they just kept repeating the company's line. This was a product I used in the way it was marketed, and it began failing after three Withing a year, it would not make a single charge. It is hard to say how many decent applications there are. Since I've owned this watch for quite some time, I've been hoping there would be some new apps, but all I see is endless watch faces to choose from. Each month we're bombarded with watch faces but never see an app that's even halfway decent. You might want to wait until you see reviews of the available apps. In the spirit of making cool apps, one would think Samsung would at least put some effort into making a few, but instead they rely on unskilled programmers to make watch faces based on their preferred pictures. At the very least, Samsung could have provided us with a few decent app selections to get things started.
