Questions & Answers

What's the difference between controlling music on my phone and playing music locally on this watch? There is a Pandora app for it ?

Due to its lack of a speaker, the Fossil Explorist HR Smartwatch does not allow you to play music directly. You can use the controls feature with a variety of music Apps, including Spotify, Pandora, Soundcloud, Apple Music, Google Play, and iTunes.

Could I download songs to the watch and listen to them using bluetooth earphones without a phone if I downloaded Apple Music from the Google Play Store on the watch?

Smartwatches that work with Apple Music are not supported. Although Bluetooth headphones can be connected to your watch, a native Apple Music app is not currently available for the Play Store, so you will not be able to download songs for offline play. The wristband will, however, allow you to access music controls such as Play/Pause and Skip.

Does the watch have the ability to be set ?

It is true. will mirror the time that appears on your phone, so if the phone is on military time, it will also display that on the watch.

What are the capabilities of linking it to the Wahoo Tickr ?

It should not be used in lieu of a medical device since it is incompatible with any of them.

Having a watch with a bad battery is problematic
3/5

A short story about battery life it's the worst part of this watch. I agree - You get a 100% charge at six o'clock. I will be at 10 A. M. Despite not touching it, the battery is at 20%.

It is the best looking Wear OS brand on the market
5/5

My previous Gen 3 I had sold has been replaced with this new one. Although I did not NEED the HR sensor, NFC payment, or built-in GPS that the Gen 3 didn't have, it sure has its uses. Well, you do not need it, but it is useful to have it. It is nice to have certain luxuries sometimes.
The fact that it is a Fossil watch makes it all the more attractive. The watch is comfortable and light, and not bulkier as a regular wristwatch. It is also nice to have faces provided by Fossil. In case you are wondering about battery life, you will know that Wear OS (Android) watches do not have the longest battery life. I have bought a few watches, including this one, and they all took about a week to stabilize battery life. It's like going from having 50 percent to 70 percent at the end of the day. There is a correlation between usage amount and the rate of consumption. There are many good things about this Please note - Watches from Fossil are renowned for their thoughtful design. Please note - The device tracks activities in real time, even when using Please note - A watch with an HR sensor, NFC, and GPS enables Wear OS to run at its full potential. This hardware should be implemented by all watches. Please note - A more click-like feeling is heard with the buttons and crown when compared to Gen 3* There is a strong vibration for notifications. Please note - You can swim in it. In Gen 3, water resistance was the only improvement. This is not a good sign Please note - There has been a lot of improvement in Wear OS recently. While this is a very good watch, it is not an Apple Watch (this is a Google Please note - The device is still using the Please note - In comparison with the previous generation, there is no speaker. Please note - Those who are not satisfied with the battery life of their watches will never be happy. If you like the leather/silicone hybrid band Fossil offers, however, and don't want to pay the price for it, then the watch I purchased from Amazon is a good option. The price is almost half and the product looks similar.

I like this watch a lot The battery life on this watch is poor
4/5

I currently have four smartwatches (including this one). Smartwatches are starting to become larger (LG Wear, Zenwatch 2 and Huawei 1st gen) and this one is definitely one of the larger watches. Despite being a little heavier than the Zenwatch 2, it has a little bit more heft to it than the competition. The bands are standard 22mm, so you can easily change them out with something you prefer (I'm looking for something blue from this collection). With the screen flush against the sides, the bezels aren't noticeable In other words, there is a very good chance that this can scratch when brushed. is also difficult, if not impossible to apply a screen protector when this happens. Although I thought the 3 side buttons were gimmicky and unnecessary at first, they have proven to be very In addition to its scroll wheel function, the center button can be pushed and long pressed. There are 3 other buttons (the scroll wheel has become a bit sticky) and they can be pressed or held down and reprogrammed for different uses. The system responds as expected and acts the way it It is the second time that Wear OS has been updated. The initial configuration is 0) right from the start. I had no problems setting it Unlike my other watches, this does not have the bluetooth issues I have experienced with others, once connected, it stays connected and does not give me the annoying "not connected" message. Use of NFC for Google Pay is a lot of fun I prick my watch to the terminal and "boop, boop" when I do that I absolutely confuse the cashiers It is paid. Still have to have my phone in my pocket, however nothing has to come out of my pockets to make a payment! The heart rate monitor/sensor on this watch initially worried me because it protrudes out of the back of the watch like a bubble, but after wearing it for a while, I no longer notice it. My assessment is that it's close to the truth. The charging cradle is magnetic and can hold the watch so that it can be placed on it in either direction because the charging contacts located on the bottom of the watch are actually two circles. There is no need to fiddle around with the watch and charger in order to align the contacts before charging. Now to the battery life. That reviewer who says it only lasts 2 hours (or was it just 4 hours?) complains about how bad it is. The child (age 16 or older) needs to learn to troubleshoot the system, change the settings, or stop playing games so much on it. It is faster for the battery to drain if you leave the screen on without ambient mode. Having a watchface that uses a lot of data or is very animated will cause the battery to last longer. You can take a reading every 30 seconds using your heart rate monitor. What you're saying makes sense to me. In terms of faces, I prefer relatively minimum faces with only a few data points displayed, and I enable "shake to wake" to make it go into ambient mode. I get a good 14 to 20 hours out of my other watches between charges when I use them. This one is not for you. My typical battery life is 12 hours on a weather face, or 8 hours on a fitness face if I use a minimal watch face with minimal data points.
If the watch has a large enough battery, we could have easily reached 14 hours on the watch. I find that it doesn't seem to be the kind of everyday watch, it certainly isn't the kind of watch for the gym. Instead, maybe it's a watch for the office or for shopping at night. When the battery issue is resolved, the phone can last all day, but it won't last for rough and tumble use.

This watch has an incredibly low battery life
3/5

I think the features are awesome but the battery life is terrible. This watch reminds me of a regular watch, so I bought it because it looks like a fitness watch. I need to stress this But then again, it's a Unfortunately, the battery life of this device is extremely poor! As a result of the watch's charging requirements, I had to charge it twice a day, which was inconvenient Wearing it for four days was not enough for me. In the middle of the day without warning, it died in the middle of the street. While I was hopeful despite the reviews, I'm sorry to say the movie isn't worth the money.

It had a battery life of 3 to 4 hours on a fully charged battery
3/5

No apps were running, no programs installed, brightness was set to 2, notifications were trimmed down to the bare minimum. As the first watch had an issue, Amazon sent me a replacement watch within 24 hours. But the second watch had the same problem, when you charge it for 40 minutes, it will still run for 30. I called fossil, and they said Amazon got A refund has been issued to me by This is not a watch I would recommend.
