Allow for some fresh air. It's quite substantial. That bothers me less than the odor. I don't want to hang it in my closet because I don't want my clothes to smell like this vest, so I'd hang it outside to air it out if it weren't so cold outside. I'm not keen on returning it. I'll ask my dry cleaner for suggestions. I like how the vest looks and fits; I just wish I could stand wearing it. br>I wrote the above shortly after receiving the vest. I left the vest out in the open for a few weeks, and the odor has vanished. It's a good thing I didn't return it.
