The vests my husband wears are Carhartt. There is an estimated weight of 180 pounds for someone who stands under 6 ft. He's not particularly big or tall, so it's fair to say he's not a giant. Despite my order arriving a day late, I am attributing it to the massive snow storm in the US at the time I placed it. I was notified in advance and was kept informed all through the delivery process. As always, an excellent product from Carhartt. In terms of height and weight, I'm 6'3" and 220 pounds, so I order the XL-sized shirt The fit of the jacket is excellent for someone of my height. Like a jacket, it lays over my belt, rather than above my jeans as it does for a normal fit. My personal preference is for the one above.
As I scanned all the reviews of this Tall version and the Normal version, I chose to heed warnings about the Normal version's short length and purchase the Tall version in Large (for reference, I am a hair below 5'10", 42" chest, 36" My first impression of it is that it fits really well, it seems nicely made and it keeps me warm. Keep an eye out for height requirements. The quality of Carharrt's products is outstanding. I found it surprising how warm it was. While it is not exactly cheap at $75 for the tall sizes, I believe it is worth the money.
