The month of April is approaching. My husband is a hunting guide, and this heated vest is fantastic. is spending a lot of time outside in the elements. This is extremely beneficial. When we lived in New York and went to college softball games in March, April, and May, I wish I'd had something like this! This vest has a zip up under the chin and has heat in the neck (the other styles don't). The other heated vest models only zip up to mid-thigh. Heat should be felt in the chest and across the back; The front pockets, neck, and area across the back of the vest are all heated. It is a hit with my husband! If this is your first time purchasing, do yourself a favor and get the second battery pack. Buying them both appears to be expensive, but there is a small discount if you buy them both at the same time. You'll also want to have a backup battery on hand. br>Wishing you all the best. In January and February, it worked perfectly, but in March, it stopped working. I went out and bought another battery. Neither battery is heating the vest; both have been fully charged, but the vest is not responding. br>My brother-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law- THE SAME PROBLEM IS BEING EXPERIENCED BY LAW. He also has a backup plan in case something goes wrong. as well as the battery. br>These items are far too expensive to be discarded after 60 days!.

I've only had it for a day, but I'm already blown away. If anything goes wrong in the future, I'll let you know. br>I'd like to make a few observations. My height is 5'9" and my weight is 170 pounds. It's a slim body type. I ordered a large and it fits perfectly; however, I recommend ordering a size up if you have a large stomach or chest. The building is well-made and has a pleasant feel to it. It's thin and doesn't feel bulky when worn under my jacket. It also appears to be attractive. You'll feel confident wearing it out in public. br>I was a little perplexed by the charging procedure. What I found out is as follows. The battery has four pinholes on it, which I later learned are charge indicator lights. When you plug it in, the charger unit itself lights up red, which is typical of foreign instructions. It turns green after a while, signaling that it's fully charged. I was concerned because there were still no lights on the battery. It must be disconnected from the charger and SHAKEN (?) before those lights will turn on. I'm not sure why, but that's when the battery's four blue pinholes light up. br>It was cold yesterday, but not in the way that it was in Montana. However, it quickly warmed up on its first day of use. Back and chest units, as well as the collar. I especially like the collar because it keeps my neck warm. br>My only minor quibble is that the insignia on the left breast illuminates in red, white, or green when in use. I'm sure it'll prompt inquiries as to whether I'm a crew member of the starship Enterprise, but I'm fine with the joking as long as I'm kept warm.

The fit is "relaxed" in general, which makes it a little big for me. I'm 5'6" and weigh 150 pounds, so I went with the medium. It fits, but it would have been more attractive if it had been available in a smaller size; however, the heating element is excellent - precisely what I was looking for I really liked how light and comfortable the vest is. It comes with a carrying case, which is a thoughtful addition. There's no reason why Ororo needed to make the on/off switch on the chest light up (red = high; green = low). medium (white) low (blue). So there you have it- For me, it was a deal breaker. This is the best heated vest I've found, and the technology behind it is fantastic! Ororo simply needs to focus on improving the fit of this vest (making it more fashionable and modern) and moving the temperature indicator. That way, I'd be able to wear it out in a social situation. I'd like the fact that it's a heated vest to be undetectable and blend in with the rest of the outfit - not blink as if it were a beacon to the rest of the world.

Every day, I go winter camping, walking, and snowshoeing in northern Wisconsin's great outdoors. I'm getting older and thought a heated vest would be useful; the vest appears to be well-made and fits well, but the main reason I purchased it was for the neck heat. There is some, but it is insufficient for my needs. I can't feel the heat on my neck when I'm outside, even when it's fully zipped up. I can feel some heat when I'm out of the house. The chest and back warm up, but not to the point where I'm comfortable. To feel the heat, you must layer it with a thick, warm jacket that is tightly fitted to your body. If it's cold outside, this is to be expected. br>The only setting I'd use is high because the other options aren't sufficient for my needs. Other reviews were much better than mine, but I put it through its paces and now don't wear it because my light-weight Big Agnes Downteck vest is warmer, lighter, and more comfortable, but it's also a lot more expensive. A big plus in my opinion is the customer service; I contacted them and received a response asking some specific questions about temperature. I put it off, but I received a follow-up call asking if they could be of further assistance. I did as they asked, told them the results, and they said it appeared to be normal, but that if I wasn't satisfied, I could return it for free shipping. They began the refund process as soon as it shipped. Awesome. So, go ahead and see if it works for you; based on other reviews, it appears to provide adequate heat with minimal risk.
