I'm 6'5" and 290 pounds, and the xxxl fits me perfectly. They're smaller than other vests I've tried on, such as the body glove phantom, which I tried on in an xxl size. This is a high-quality jacket that is well worth the money.
I got the reactor life vest for myself and my son got the assault life vest. There are two significant differences in my opinion. When you compare the two, you'll notice that 1) the assault vest zips a few inches higher than the reactor vest, and 2) the assault vest has two blocks of extra padding for lower back support, which are only about 1/2-inch thick. I could see the benefit in that if you have lower back issues, but I wouldn't take the assault's lower back support into consideration when measuring. I used a cloth tape measure to measure myself and my son and ordered the corresponding sizes from the neoprene size chart, and the vest fit perfectly.
I bought the XXL as a present for my nephew, who was about 5'9" tall and weighed close to 300 pounds at the time (he has since lost weight), and it was perfect for him. If you're looking for someone who's much taller and weighs around 350 pounds, I'd go with the XXXL. However, this item is of good quality, and I would suggest it.

For me, this is an excellent life jacket. A man who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 215 pounds. Because I watch a lot of Keystone Lights every night, the "flared" bottom is ideal for me. Other XL life jackets couldn't handle the Keystone Keg, which I proudly wear while knee boarding on the lake during the summer months. O'Neill, you did a fantastic job.
My husband is 6'2" tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He's a muscular man, but he's a little scrawny. He looks good in a size large shirt. We first purchased an XL because the lifejacket we purchased two years ago from Costco was also an XL. This was clearly too big for an Extra Large. Then I got smart and measured his chest, finding that he was right at the upper end of the medium size chart. I told him, and he insisted that he needed a large, so being the good wife that I am, I bought him the Medium. He put it on and liked how it fit. It has a good fit and is easy to zip. If he goes to the gym like he says he will, he may even gain an inch or two.
It was exactly the right size for my husband, and he loved it! The vest's label reads "Made in Vietnam. " 👍.
The jacket was comfortable to wear and lasted for about a season. When the hidden straps get tangled, it's difficult to untangle them because they're hidden. The foam inside craves water and won't let it go, so it's exposed in some places, allowing water to gushe in. In addition, the fabric is not water resistant. Before hanging on my rack, I'm always squeezing like a sponge. Because the foam is starting to smell bad, it will be finished after this year. I have to wash the jacket every time I wear it or I'll pass out. This is not a problem with any of my other neoprene jackets. I'm going to toss the vest under a seat after I wash it because it looks nice and I'll need something to cover it if I have extra people onboard.
I'd give it 5 stars if it were a nice life jacket, but as we all know, anything related to water is currently in high demand. I ordered an xxxl because I was afraid it would be too big, but it fit perfectly, so go up a size. Just to let you know, I bought another one in green that was about 2 inches shorter than the black one I originally bought. So, if you want a longer torso, go for the black one.
I'm 6'0" tall, 180 pounds (fit), and have a 41" chest, so I ordered a large. It fits well at the top but is a little loose at the bottom. The average person with a few extra pounds around the midsection might appreciate the space, but I find it ill-fitting for me. fitting. It's also oddly short, measuring about 2 inches in length. br>br>I'll wear it jetskiing, but not wakeboarding. br>br>The quality is good, and it's nice to have an extra vest for my beer-drinking. br>br> I'm going to keep it because I have a lot of belly-button friends.
br>br>I'm 6'3" and weigh around 340 pounds, and I have a stomach. This thing "could" fit me (and does; I've worn it out on my PWC several times), but it's a little snug. When I'm out riding, I don't notice any issues, but when you first put it on, you can feel the tightness. br>br>At the end of the day, if I can, I'm going to send this back. At my local marine store, there are 2X models that fit better, have pockets, and have a ring to attach your PWC lanyard to.
At 5'2", I'm usually in the middle of the size range. 7'0'''''''''''''''' I have to tighten the straps on the O'Neal because it appears to be a size large. If you prefer a loose fit or have a belly, there is some extra room. The tighter fit is appealing to me. As a result, the Obrien was my first choice. It's close to a medium in size. Despite the fact that it is marked as the larger size on the tag.
