Not impressed at all for something called Yukon extremes it's not very warm at all have to wear a sweater underneath it to be warm my normal carhartt duck jacket is warmer than this jacket it's like they made a jacket to look good but not function should have twice to three times the insulation and to spend $200 I'll go back to my normal carhartt jacket half the price and warmer it does cut the wind better than my carhartt duck jacket tho the bibs that go with this do cut the.
I tried it on locally to get a sense of size, but it fit exactly as other reviews stated for my size. I live in the High Desert, so it's always windy, and when it's cold, it's even worse, and wearing this thing is the first time I almost don't notice it's cold because it stops all weather with a sold for manual work yet very thin for a jacket of its type. If you want to add more layers underneath, it also fits loosely enough. I can't speak for extreme colds, but for winds of around 320 and 30 miles per hour, it's ideal on its own, and I despise the wind and cold. lol.
I needed a better winter jacket for dealing with the snow because I work outside and part of my job entails plowing and snow removal with blowers and shovels on over 14 different properties. br>br>Not only is it extremely hot, but I've discovered that wearing anything other than a long sleeve tee underneath causes me to sweat. It's also windproof and waterproof, with plenty of hidden and regular pockets to keep your keys and phone dry. This is a fantastic winter coat. br>br> I'd rate it six stars if I could.
Carhart Yukon extremes coatbr>br>I really like this coat; it's warm enough that I don't need a second layer, and I've worn it in temperatures as high as 20 degrees with thermal underwear. In windy, cold conditions, this is an excellent choice. For warmth retention, it sacrifices some breathability, but I haven't had any issues (it's still breathable). It has a lot of movement and is quite loud, but it's not difficult to adjust to. I haven't been in the rain yet, only in the snow, but we'll see what happens when I do.
I've been looking for a Carhartt jacket, and this is it. The midweight hooded sweatshirt is one of my favorites. A motorcycle, on the other hand, has a screen door that lets the wind pass through. This jacket has a windblocker, which is why it's a little stiff at first. However, it isn't overly bulky and appears to be ideal for riding in the winter. Simply purchase an electric vest that connects to the bike's electrical system, and you're good to go.
The sleeves are my only gripe. I'd buy it again if it came in a medium tall size. My height and weight are 5'10" and 160 pounds, respectively. This jacket was not designed for skinny manlets like myself, and the sleeves and bottom are a little short. br>br> So, if you're my size, you've been warned.
This jacket is designed for those who will be spending time in harsh environments and require a durable garment. It is not intended for those seeking fashionable jackets. This is because, while this jacket is extremely warm, which I enjoy, it is also extremely stiff. I've had mine for about a month now, and the material is finally becoming more flexible, which isn't a major issue. This jacket performed admirably during a storm in Sequoia. It appeals to me. SIZE: MEDIUM.
I'm 5'9" and weigh 165 pounds, and I almost always wear men's medium, and the medium cardhartt jackets are too big for me. I ordered a small and it fits perfectly, with plenty of room to layer underneath. I wear a t-shirt underneath it when it's 40 degrees outside, and I wore it out in a blizzard and it kept me warm and dry.
