What are your thoughts on the sizing? Carhartt hoodies in size XL fit me perfectly! ?

According to the Carhartt size chart, an X-large fits like a glove. 46-inches chest

Is it possible to wash this jacket after it has been soiled?

With the exception of grease, I've had great success getting everything out of it. After spraying oxyclean on the spots, I wash them. My husband works for the municipality, which means he has to deal with a lot of filth.

Is there a way to just buy the hood of this jacket? Is it possible that I misplaced the original?

No, I'm not convinced.

Does this product fit in the same way as other Carhartt items? Is it possible that a large could be mistaken for an xl?

This jacket appears to be True to Size. LARGE: 42- 44", X- LARGE: 46- 48"br>Many thanks for your patronage. We always appreciate your orders. Please send us an email if there's anything else we can do for you.

It's fine, but if I could go back in time, I'd get one that was less expensive
3/5

Pros: br>br>Temperature: br>br> I wore layers and had to take some off because it was 38°F (inside, no wind) and I was swearing. I was cool, but not cold, outside, and this jacket is extremely warm. Accessibility: br>br>Visibility: br>br>Visibility: br>br>V It's a high-visibility garment. Yes, I know that's what it's designed for, but I mean, I have both the lighter, water-resistant version and the warmer, thicker version of this jacket, and they're both a QUALITY color. The logo, too, is a sleek smooth rubber type (which I removed for personal preference). br>br>Pockets: br>br>Pockets: br>br>Pocket This is something I'm categorizing as both a pro and a con. It has a lot of pockets that are so big that I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. They have a lot of depth to them as well. I don't have enough experience with velcro to comment on it. CONS: br>br> TEXTURE: TEXTURE: TEXTURE: TEXTURE: TEXTURE: TEXTURE: TEX It's a magnet for filth! It was already filthy before I even took it to work. I'm not exaggerating when I say this. It didn't have a chance once I got it to work. I'm not a dirty person, and I was trying to be extra careful today because I wanted the new jacket to stay clean, but NOT A CHANCE. It has a few spots of dirt that won't go away. I got a drop of anti-oxidizer on it by accident, and that was the end of it. A new stain has been applied. I tried rubbing it off with a kitchen sponge (both the rough and soft parts), soapy warm water, and nothing else. I tried scraping it off before, but it wouldn't come off. That irritates me because the tag specifies a maximum of 25 washes (whatever that means). I also look like a kid because it's so filthy, and replacing it once it's "too stained" is too expensive. Because of the lighting, it's difficult to tell how dirty it became, but the last two photos were taken the next day. I was still attempting to maintain a clean environment. Visualize: br>br>Visualize: br>br>Visualize: br>br There is NO WAY you will go unnoticed if you wear this. It truly reflects how you feel. br>br>Feel: It has a large feel to it. I'm disappointed that they don't offer a small size; even with layers, it feels a little big on me, and I'm 5'10 and 144 pounds. The top rubs and brushes against my neck in an irritating and uncomfortable way, but I'm hoping I'll grow accustomed to it. br>br>Pockets: br>br>Pockets: br>br>Pocket It's a pain to use them because they're so deep. Also, undoing the velco is a pain, but it's too early to say whether it will loosen over time. I wish the pockets' buttons had been secured with magnetic clips. br>br>Attributes: br>br>Attributes: br>br>At The jacket has a random strap near the shoulder area that is either an unsightly design detail or a cumbersome pen holder. Don't account for it if it serves a specific purpose that I am unaware of. Final: br>br> Although it is hot outside, I prefer to stay clean. Rather than dealing with this single jacket that was made to get dirty, I'd buy three $50 hi-viz lower-quality jackets and replace them when they're no longer presentable. It also has a bad feel to it, and the sleeves aren't ideal. br>br>A tin hat is a hat that is made out of tin. Because it's planned obsolescence, they made it easy for it to get dirty, so we can buy replacement jackets.

It really works
5/5

I was concerned by the few negative reports I had read, but I am a huge Carhartt fan who has never had a bad experience with their clothing line; in fact, I am still wearing a pair of their " artic " bib coveralls. They're still going strong after nearly two decades of use. tear. br>Now, I work in stone quarries, so I need a high-visibility jacket. Wearing safety equipment is required by both OSHA and MSHA, as well as company policy, so I decided to give it a shot. br>I'm 6'3a' tall and weigh about 200 lbs, so I always order an XL or XXL. I got the XL, and yes, it's a little baggy, as it SHOULD be because it's a WORK WINTER COAT, and you need room for LAYERS. I'm wearing caps for the benefit of the idiot snowflakes who think winter workwear is also to be a GQ fashion statement. T-shirts with johns on them It was 32 degrees with a 10-degree breeze when I put on my shirt, hoodie, and jacket. An open cab Cat 825 compacter operating in a constant 15 MPH wind had the jacket opened by 010: 00 and felt completely at ease the entire time. br>I strongly advise anyone working outside to get this.

Warm and comfortable jacket with a great fit
5/5

I'm not a big fan of Carhartt's products. I have a Carhartt "barn jacket" that I've had for over 15 years and it still fits great (size XL). Some of their XL jackets swallow me, or the arms are too short, or something just doesn't feel right; I'm 6'4", 36" waist, 35" inseam, and 210 pounds, so I can't just order a blanket size. For reference in this review, I'm 6'4", 36" waist, 35" inseam, and I'm 6'4", 36" waist, 35" inseam, and I'm 6'4", 36" waist, 35" inseam, and I Arms and legs that are extremely long br>br>I wasn't sure how to order this jacket because some reviewers recommended going down a size. I went ahead and got the Large despite my reservations. It's the perfect fit, with enough room for a fleece underneath but not so much that it swallows me if I'm just wearing a shirt. It provides partial coverage over a glove by covering my arms and the very top of my wrist. The hood snaps off, the adjustable waist keeps the drafts out, the wrist cuffs, the large zipper, and all the pockets are all great features. br>br> The shell keeps me dry while the interior is quilted and warm. The best part is that it's extremely bright, which helps me stay awake on the job. This jacket has made me very happy. Having said that, I'll have to try on the next Carhartt article for fit before buying it, as I don't believe their sizing is consistent. However, when it does fit, it fits well, and the quality has been excellent in my experience. This is an excellent jacket.

I live in Nome, Alaska, where there is a lot of wind
5/5

I live in Nome, Alaska, where the temperature is minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit. br>I wore this jacket out in the open at - For one hour, 15 dollars. Although I felt the chill, the jacket remained flexible and kept me warm. br>An omni-tech or under-armor inner layer is possible. br>There were so many pockets that I misplaced my phone for a moment. This jacket was worn in Selawik, Alaska, at - With winds gusting to 20 knts, the forecast is for a high of 11. The cheeks were icy, but the rest of the body was toasty! br>I really like this jacket.

Carhartt does exactly what it says on the tin
5/5

I ordered this product a few weeks ago, and after reading many reviews, I was aware that the sizes do run large, so if you're complaining about the size, you probably didn't pick up the phone to read I use this product daily because I work putting up sheet rock for a hotel, and some days I work on swing stages up to the 19th floor with very heavy cold winds in the morning I love the sleek design that doesn't get in the way when I have to do compressed movements, and how warm it.

TOUGH BOY ON THE RAILROAD
5/5

TOUGH ON THE RAILROAD. Every day, I spent the entire day outside in the bitter cold and 50 mph winds. This coat is water-resistant and repels snow, rain, and other liquids. Inside, it's so warm that I don't even need a sweatshirt, and the hood is fantastic, fitting perfectly and providing a great deal of comfort. Best work coat I've ever owned; I was hesitant at first because of the price, but it will last me a long time, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again. After this coat, I am a true Carhartt believer.
