I ordered a T-shirt for a 10-year-old girl and it came in size S, which was almost big enough to fit me as an adult. If the exact size is too big, perhaps you can try a smaller size

The regular 6 is slightly bigger around than this. I don't need a size 7 as long as I would like.

Our daughter ordered a size XL (she is a 14 and is slim and tall) and they fit nicely (no more belly shirts due to her long torso). The material is a thinner, more breathable cotton, which is exactly what we were looking for. This is the perfect uniform shirt for Florida when it gets HOT, thick material of most of the ones I've seen just isn't ideal. In addition, if you're looking for a more feminine silhouette than the way traditional uniform shirts are cut, then the ruffle detail and capped sleeves of this shirt will be a great choice. It is required to wear a bra or tank top underneath of like color. You can see an outline, but it is not see through, my daughter loves how soft it is, and the ruffle is a nice touch for a girlie touch and her school didn't seem to mind. 9 year old boy is in the middle of the 8 and 10 range, so the 10/12 fits a little big, yet not overly so. I am glad I spent $5 on this young girl, who has room to grow and is comfortable.

You can wear this shirt without worrying about wrinkles! The dress has been washed a number of times, but it continued to look gorgeous! In fact, I even left it in the dryer (after the cycle was done) and it still didn't need to be.
