It appears to be very attractive and would keep little feet toasty warm. If you can get your child's feet into it, that is. When viewed from the outside, size 13 appears to be the same size as his old size 12 boots (which, thankfully, still fit him well), but when the inserts are taken into account, it is significantly smaller. However, without inserts, the footbed will be devoid of padding and will be less warm and cushy. Imagine walking with a splint on your ankles because they are narrow, stiff, and have no give. Because of this, it's difficult to put on, and my little boy, who does his own boots, kicked it out of frustration. It's also quite heavy. Order 2- 3 sizes up, and proceed with caution.
My son is three and normally wears a size nine toddler shoe, but I always buy a size up for boots, so I got him a size ten. I have to remove the liner, place it on his foot, and then slide it into the actual boot to get these on his feet. The inside of the liner is extremely tight. If your child's feet are chubby, go up at least two sizes. Because these are so small, we recommend going up a size. I was unable to return these and order a size or two up because I needed him to have boots on the same day they arrived.
The same day, I bought these. I purchased these for my four older children after learning my lesson: The Columbia Forty are the only snow boots you'll ever need because they're waterproof and warm. It will last forever if you love your children. You're not going to be let down. I repeat: WARM and waterproof. a lot of heat Columbia, thank you very much.
If you're lucky, you'll be able to wear it. The shoe is sturdy and warm, but getting a toddler's foot through the inlet is a real struggle. The shoe is sized correctly, but getting the foot through the inlet requires coaxing, pushing, liberal use of butter, and a lot of praying. The shoes are made up of two parts: an outer shell and a foam-filled inner shell. Fabric insert that keeps the foot in place but is too narrow for the shoe's intended foot size.
These snow boots appear to be very nice, but they are extremely heavy for a toddler, weighing in at over a pound each. If you're looking for toddler snow boots, I recommend the Sorrel boots instead, which are much lighter and more comfortable for a toddler to walk in the snow.
These boots aren't designed for children! Because the opening is so small, it's much more difficult to get your child's feet into it. It doesn't need a larger opening, a zipper, or anything else to make it more comfortable to wear!.
We were so excited to get these for our daughter, but when we tried to put her foot in them, they were so tight that she started crying. So we exchanged them for a larger size, but they are still too small. Columbia did an awful job on these, which is unfortunate because the rest of the boots are fantastic.
My 3-year-old son was the recipient of this purchase. I even went up a size. He can't get his feet in them, despite the fact that his feet aren't unusually wide. He's not happy with this- He's having trouble getting his feet into them.
