My daughter is approximately 5 feet tall and wears a size 5. I'm not sure whether I should get a small or a medium. ?

In this case, the small would most likely fit. For my size 5 granddaughter, I ordered a medium so she could wear it for a longer period of time. We live in Kansas, and since the weather will determine whether or not she can wear it, I wanted her to have as much time as possible with it. It's a lovely top that could be worn for more than just dance class. I'm so glad I went ahead and purchased it!

It goes well with the capezio pleated skirted leotard, which can be found on Amazon as well. It's skintight and stretchy without being confining. My 6-year-old's chest was exactly the right size in a medium, though the sleeves were far too long. It appears to be well-made and adorable. Perfect for enhancing the warmth of a sleeveless leotard in colder weather.

She'll be adequately covered if they stop for a snack or run an errand after class with this and the skirt I bought to go with it. She has the appearance of a young ballerina.
