Questions & Answers

Are there any differences between this one and Do you have any experience with either of these? I am trying to choose between these two options. ?

had both and the muddy buddy worked really well for my kid, but this one was better for him due to his tall and skinny height. It was too muddy buddy's middle, where a lot of extra material was present. It didn't happen to me with the Oakiwear one either because I sized up. Additionally, this one is made of a heavier material and it is a better match for Alaska's chilly weather.

Can you tell me what kind of material this is made ?

I have provided you with a direct link to our Oakiwear website. Please note - The fabric is made of nylon and PU coated for softness and durability*- A waterproof design featuring a light pressure of 8,000mm (*br>-) It is breathable, has a 3000mvp*r- Sewn with full seam tape - The string should be cinched around the waist - Please find attached the hood - The reflective tape can be seen on the arms and chest - Neoprene ankle cuffs with adjustable fit for excellent coverage around rubber rain boots* - A Velcro strap on the wrists and ankles makes it easy to customize the fit*-- Zipper sealed against water - The best part is it does not contain any PVC!

Is this suit sufficient for keeping warm on its own, or do I need a heavy jacket underneath it. ?

How cold it is depends on how much snow there Our family lives in Alaska and we use them throughout the fall, spring, and summer, but my kids have also used them in the winter on a mild day when there is a lot of snow. To keep warm (during the winter), I would make them wear a sweater or a lighter jacket underneath.

Approximately how long does the waterproof last? I have only had my tank for a year and it leaking heavily already. Following the instructions, I have cleaned my house. ?

The air conditioner I had started leaking after maybe three months of usage and I As a result of my complaint, I received a new one from the company. I do not expect it to last as long as the old one. In order to prolong the waterproofing of the garment, I water it more and wash it less than the original garment.

Information about sizing and comparison to Tuffo
4/5

My husband and I purchased Oakiwear 6/7 and 8/9 after needing to upgrade from our beloved Tuffo Muddy Buddies (2T to 4T). The fifth. The Oakiwear 6/7 is similar to the It has a drawstring waist instead of a baggy middle and stretchy wrists/ankles, so the Oakiwear is an inch longer in leg and 2 inches longer in sleeve than a regular shirt. Reflective tape is present on Oakiwear and not on Tuffo. A special mention goes to the Oakiwear 8/9 that differs in sleeve length by 1 inch and in leg length by 2 inches. We don't believe that's enough I have an 8yr old tall and thin who wears a size 8, but the Oakiwear 8/9 is too short in his torso and legs. " The reason why we kept it is because my 5-year old will need them shortly. If your children are tall, order Oakiwear in a larger size!.

The best rain and snow suit I've ever owned
5/5

Several months ago, I purchased this for a rambunctious 4 year old who lives in a very wet area. The device has been used on most days of the week since then. As expected, it fit me as a size large. The rain suit I'm wearing is awesome! A lot of time has been spent scuffing around on the ground, but none of the fabric has been Running, throwing, climbing, and kicking are easy for him, and there is little strain on his body. A hat under the hood does not interfere with the fit of the hood. I have not encountered any problems with the zipper. So far I haven't had any wet socks from puddle stomping in the rain because of this pair of socks plus rain boots.

We had some really slushy snows for a while where it was snowing and raining kind of at the same time, and we have much enjoyed this. It worked perfectly as a waterproof snowsuit once I added a few extra layers underneath. Also, I like the fact that it is reflective. You can definitely see it in a car from a distance. I have updated Now that it is May 5th of this year, let's check in. I used the rain suits in the Pacific Northwest for 5 months during the very wet winter season. My preschoolers played hard in them - they stayed dry and stayed dry. We played in the rain and snow, stepped in puddles, got muddy in muddy fields, and we slipped and slid in the mud. Although these suits were worn often and did not always receive the best care possible, both of them are remarkably well kept. Several times, they were caked with mud for several days before I could get to them to clean them, and sometimes they were worn several times in a single I had no leaks when using them, and they kept my children dry and warm every time. I like how when it snows, the kids can just pull on their suits once they are zipped up in their super comfy underwear and a fleece layer, then they are ready for their day out. There is no need to wear actual clothes. The purchase was everything I expected it to be.

I am very pleased with the product
5/5

The trail rainsuit comes in 3T and is a must-have garment if you live in the pacific northwest (or in the desert or tropics for that matter!) I purchased a size 3T for my son who is 18 months and 34" tall, and he weighs 26 pounds now (24 months' clothing). It's baggy, so hopefully it will last as long as the 3T will. It works wonderfully! We cinch the waist drawstring so it doesn't sag or look baggy and Velcro the wrist and ankle straps tight so the water and mud can't get in! When we got into the car after we finished hiking, I removed his suit with his boots still attached, and he was dry and clean underneath. The attached photo shows him sitting and stomping in very muddy puddles at the end of the hike. In the beginning, I was skeptical about buying a suit now that winter has ended, but after camping in the rain last August, I decided that this is a must. In round numbers. It is very useful for my son to go out in the yard when the grass is wet and roll around with his tonka trucks without having to change into dry clothes afterwards. All the seams are taped, and there is good quality, but flexible material for him. It is backed with some sort of mesh-like material Because it's made of rubber-like material, it doesn't have that tacky, rubbery feel that some waterproof items have when you're trying to get little arms and legs in In the winter, there is also space below for warmer layers. You won't find a better product or better customer service than.

In the snow, through the rain, and through the wind, my Oakiwear clad Forest School students were by far more comfortable than their friends
5/5

Forest School is something I facilitate/lead at Montessori Peace Centers in Bellingham, WA, which is a non-profit Montessori school dedicated to serving families who cannot afford to send their children to class Educate/care for children. A student of mine and his younger sister had this suit, and now, because of my advertising for you, two of the other students have this suit, too There are them at school, and my 7-year-old daughter also has one. I prefer your family's suit because it is easy to put on and that they can zip it independently, whereas two other families chose similar suits. Muddy Buddy on the other hand is a very different story. Unlike me, my daughter wears her rucksack only when we go on family outings, as she has a more sophisticated approach to fashion when she hikes with older members of our maker space/forest school homeschool It seems as though they dress in a rather unprepared manner. Her pre-existing behavior makes me think that she doesn't want to match Helping out at school is something she loves to do. That's all right. As a new teacher, I have personally seen these in action during the worst winter weather I could have imagined for two and a half hours away from the classroom, despite the weather. My students were way more comfortable than their friends with Oakiwear at Forest School whether it was snow, rain or wind. My encouragement goes out to others to purchase We think we could provide Oakiwear with a steady flow of orders over the years if Oakiwear sent us some complimentary Trail Suits, so that other children can try them out, or if children who cannot afford proper gear would be able to stay warm! Parental ooohs and aaahs are common among them, as well as passersby on the college campus we frequent on our hikes. You future parents should think about it! It must be great advertising,.

A perfect match for Forest School All Weather Preschool I'm at school
5/5

The 4 year old son of the family attends an outdoor Forest School. He lives in the Pacific Northwest. A rain suit like this one is ideal for him! The clothes beneath it are covered with layers of other clothes, so there is plenty of space. With the velcro around the ankles and wrists, the water will not get into the shoes. 42" tall and 45 lbs is the height and weight of my son. Most clothes he currently wears fit him in sizes 4T and 5T. The 6/7 size was the best option for us, as we would be able to use it for two years. There was a lot of it! After that, I ordered the size 5, which fitted well. There is no velcro on the reverse side so it is a bit large. It's also important to note that I failed to realize at first that there is elastic in the waist. His look was like a balloon at first. Once I tightened the elastic, however, he looked The jacket is a good fit for him. There was a lot of rain and wind today. A hood kept him dry, and the rain did not fall on his head. The perfect translation.
