I would say it is true to size. My grandson loves it. They added a lot of fun to the look. It's fun just to play with the detachable cape!
It fits true to size I bought it for my 2 year old son and he wears a size 3, so 3T should be plenty big for him to grow into. He loves it and I think it looks very cute on him.
