Questions & Answers

Which is better between this and Have you used either or both of them? I'm having a hard time making up my mind. ?

We have both and the muddy buddy works great for my tall skinny kid, but this one works better for her. Despite wrapping around the middle with overly much material, the muddy buddy was still too heavy. Despite this, I sizing up on the oakiwear one was not an issue. Furthermore, this one is made out of heavier materials and will keep you warmer in Alaska's chilly temperatures.

Can you tell me what material it's made ?

Welcome to the Oakiwear website. This message is straight from Oakiwear. Please note - Textile with a Taslon PU coating that is soft and comfortable br A waterproof membrane, 8,000mm (light pressure) * - A breath of fresh air, 3,000 mvp*- -Vinyl has been taped on all seams - Tighten the waistband by drawing a string around it* - Please find attached the hood - A reflective tape is placed on the arms and chest - Rubber rain boots will be a lot more comfortable with this neoprene ankle cuff - A Velcro strap on the wrist and ankle allows you to customize the fit. A waterproof zipper is included in the package. The best part is that it doesn't contain any PVC.

Is this suit warm enough for wearing alone or do I need to wear a heavy jacket underneath it. ?

How cold it is will determine how much snow there I live in Alaska and we use these in the fall, spring, and summer, but my kids have also used them in the winter on mild days when the snow has been softer. Although I would recommend that they wear a sweater or light jacket underneath (in winter) to keep warm.

When does a waterproof last? I have only had mine a year, and already it Following the cleaning instructions, I have cleaned my house. ?

Before mine started leaking, I had it for maybe three months and followed the instructions on how to maintain it. A new one was sent to me after I complained to the company. My expectation is that it will last about as long as the previous one. In order to preserve the waterproofing, I am hosing it off more and washing far less than I did with the original one.

Comparing the Tuffo with the size information
4/5

Five to five). In comparison with Oakiwear 6/7 and There is an inch more length in the leg, and 2 inches more in the sleeve. The Oakiwear has Velcro wrists and ankles instead of elastic, a drawstring waist instead of a baggy one. Tuffo does not have reflective tape while Oakiwear does. In comparison with the Oakiwear 6/7, the 8/9 is 1 inch shorter in the sleeve and 2 inches shorter in the Unfortunately, we don't consider that enough A little girl who is tall and thin wears a size 8 but the Oakiwear 8/9 fits her torso and legs too tight. The reason we kept it is that my 5yr old will soon need the items. Be sure to size up if your child is tall!.

The rain suit and snow suit are both excellent
5/5

The last time I bought it was a month ago, when I had a rambunctious 4 year old living in a very gloomy area. In the past week, he's used it on most days of the week. Fitted as expected, I got it in a size large. It's great that this rain suit looks so good! It might have damaged or abraded from falling and walking on the ground, but he hasn't torn it or torn away from it. It's not too heavy for him to run, throw, climb, and kick, yet he has plenty of freedom to do so. His hood fits perfectly with or without a hat underneath, and he can wear it either way. Even a serious downpour did not damage the zipper. When I'm stepping in puddles in the rain, I pair these socks with rainboots and haven't had a single wet foot so far. This has been an excellent choice for winter snow, as we have had some slushy snow where it is snowing and raining in the same weather. added a few extra layers underneath and I was covered from head to toe in snow. The fact that it is reflective is an added bonus. This is something you can see from a distance from A RECENT UPDATE Now that the fifth of May has arrived, let's look at the timeline. 5 months of very wet winter play in the Pacific Northwest weathered the rain suits well. The preschoolers played hard in them - they are still going strong. Getting into puddles, slipping and sliding, playing in the snow and in the rain are among some of the common outdoor activities. We bought both suits, and they are in excellent condition after heavily being worn and not always being taken care of properly. I sometimes struggled to get to them to clean them for days before they were covered with mud, and they were often worn more than once in a I wore these every time my kids went outside and was completely assured that they were dry and warm. Do NOT buy them. I liked the fact that, when it snowed, I was able to dress the kids in super comfy long underwear and fleece layers, then just zip up the suits - The actual clothes do not need to be worn. It has been one of the best purchases of my life.

It did not matter if it was snow, rain, or wind that Oakiwear clad Forest School Students were much more comfortable than their friends
5/5

An independent nonprofit Montessori school that provides pre-school education to families that cannot afford it Educate/care for children. The suit was owned by one of my students and his sister, and now, from the advertising I did for you, two of my other students own the dressing gown as well The school system provides them to students, and so does my daughter, who is 7 years old. The suits have been chosen by two other families, but I prefer yours because they can easily put them on and zip them up by themselves. Muddy Buddy, on the other hand, is much different. She will only wear hers when we go on family outings since she carries a fashion conscious attitude when she hikes with the older group in our Maker Space/Forest School homeschool There seem to be a lot of unprepared clothes on them. She probably doesn't want to match the style of the Her favorite thing to do is to help out at school with children. I'm fine with that. Having been out with these kids for some time, I have seen these in action during the worst winter conditions I could have ever imagined (2 1/2 hours out, whatever the weather might be). Even in the snow, the wind, or the rain, my Oakiwear costumed Forest School students stayed warm and dry longer than their friends, without a doubt. To encourage others to wear Oakiwear, I am recommending it. The school could supply Oakiwear with a steady flow of orders throughout the years if they sent our school a few Trail Suits as a complimentary gift, so other children can try them out, or children who can't afford to buy proper gear could stay warm! During our hikes on the college campus where we frequent, I watch parents ooh and aah over them, and I also watch passersby. You're going to be a parent someday! You think this is awesome advertising, don't you?.

I like the product very much
5/5

At the moment, my son is 18 months old, 33" tall, and 26 lbs (24 mo clothing), plus he is wearing a 3T that is baggy, so hopefully he will outgrow it eventually. Whenever possible, we tie the waist drawstring to ensure it doesn't sag or appear baggy, and Velcro the ankle and wrist straps snug to keep out moisture and mud. This works extremely well! As you can see from the attached photo, he had been sitting and stomping in very muddy puddles at the end of a hike. So when we got to the car, I stripped off his suit and boots and he was completely clean and dry underneath. At first, I was skeptical about buying a suit at the end of winter, but then I remembered camping in the rain last August! We will definitely use this suit this year. You turn around. We can now let my son play in our yard when it is wet and roll around with his tonka trucks for an extended period of time without having to change him out of waterlogged or muddy clothes afterward. Every seam is taped and the material is both durable and The back is covered with some sort of mesh-like material Because the waterproof material is made from rubbery-like material, it does not have that tacky feeling that some waterproofs create when you are trying to get little hands and legs into them. In the winter, he has the option of wearing warmer layers underneath. At Oakiwear, we have an excellent product and outstanding customer service.

This is the perfect Pre-Forest School for all weather During school hours
5/5

Our four year old son attends a Forest School program that is mostly outdoor. We live in the Pacific Northwest. Rain suits like this one are perfect for him! There is plenty of room in it because he wears layers of other clothing underneath. A great way to keep water out is by using Velcro around the wrists and ankles. 42" tall and 45 lbs. , my son is a typical size 7 or 8 child. Most clothing he wears is a size 4T or a size 5T. My wife and I purchased a size 6/7 thinking it would last both of us for two years. I was amazed at the size of it! After that, I ordered a size 5 and it fit well. I found it to be a bit large, but the velcro helped. when I first looked at him, I did not see that the waist is elastic. He looked like a balloon at first, but I tightened the elastic and it changed his appearance. It seems to be a good fit for him. I woke up to rain and very strong winds today. Rain stayed out of his eyes because the hood kept his head dry. The perfect solution.
