This item was much thinner than it appeared on the website. It is not made of "thickened lambs wool" but 70% cotton and 30% polyester instead. Because it's so difficult to find a real winter jacket in baby sizes, I bought this for my 6-month-old in the hopes that she could wear it during the winter. It'll look fantastic in the fall or early spring. Winter, however, is out: It appears to run a little large, which I like because it allows her to wear it for a longer period of time. It's cute, but it's not exactly what I had in mind when I placed my order.
This coat is absolutely incredible. It's not so thick that you can't buckle your baby into carseats or strollers, but it's plenty warm. So many pleasant surprises and compliments with that tiny face in the hood with ears:.
