It's unlikely that it'll fit a grown-up.
To determine which size to order, I recommend that you use the child's weight and height. I ordered the jacket for my grandson, who is only 23 months old and weighs only 20 pounds. I placed an order for the 12-pack. Because the 6-month size is too small, the 18-month size is used instead. The 12-month size reaches a maximum weight of 20 pounds. The 12- He looks great in 18 and still has some room to grow.
XXS—approximately a 4/5 in size.
I ordered my child's normal size, which was the correct size for him.

We prefer them for wearing in the car seat because anything too bulky is dangerous. The fleece is thick and warm, but not too thick to be dangerous in a car seat. Colors are always fantastic- They don't fade, bleed, or show signs of wear. We can pass down our hand-me-downs to cousins, both little boys and little girls, because they hold up so well. The coats do appear to be narrow in the chest and waist, with long sleeves. As a result, when the weather gets colder, I usually order a size up. From fall to spring, these fleeces are worn. It's ideal for the inclement weather that can be found in New England.
Our son has blue eyes, and the Hyper Blue color is one of my favorites. It suits him perfectly! br>br>Size: br>br> He is 2 and usually wears a 2T in shirts, but we wanted the jacket to last at least 6 months, so we ordered the 3T, which fit but didn't have enough room for growth, so we ordered the 4T, which fits perfectly. If that helps anyone, our son's weight is in the 25th percentile, so he's slim, but he's tall (75th percentile for height). This jacket appears to run small, so I recommend ordering a size up. br>br>Quality: Some reviewers complained about the fleece quality, but I think it's fine; it's not the plushest fleece, but it's warm and comfortable for our son, so I'm satisfied. I believe the price is reasonable given the quality.
I bought this for my 11-year-old son because he was wearing an old, too-small fleece. He's particular about how things feel, which explains why he's been wearing the same coat for so long. He doesn't even take off his coat when he gets to school because he loves it so much! I just bought him another one, this time in a different color, so I can wash the first one! Lol! It's a very soft and silky fleece that's nice and warm without being too thick! It's not itchy or unpleasant, according to my son.
This was purchased for my son to use in his car seat during the winter. A 3t was purchased by me. He is a 2t/3t-year-old boy. and was dissatisfied that this seemed to be a more restrictive fit for him. I wished I had gotten a bigger size. I don't think I'll be able to wear it under anything other than a long-sleeved shirt. I'm hoping it will still be appropriate in the spring. If you decide to buy, I recommend going up a size.
I've bought this jacket for my son on a regular basis after reading online that it's great for wearing in the car seat. This jacket is comfortable to wear (it's snug but not too tight, which is ideal for a car seat). My son has never complained about it being too hot or too cold, and he can run around and play in it at school. Because the jackets are long-lasting, I'll be able to pass them on to my child. The jacket is warm enough for colder weather, but not for snowy winters. I'm very happy with it, and because of the low price, I'll keep buying it until he's old enough to choose his own.
Liked it because it is very warm, holds up well, and is durable, but it is a little small. We purchased it when we were three years old, and it, along with another Columbia product we purchased at the same time and in the same size, were the first two items to be "sized out" before our fourth birthday. We expected to get two winters out of it, but we only wore it once because similar OshKosh, Carters, and LLBean fleeces in the same size fit better over thicker undershirts. br>br>It's a shame, because the craftsmanship on this is incredible, possibly the best we've ever seen. If you get a large enough size, a hooded version of this would be ideal.
These were purchased for my four and six-year-old sons. The goal was to provide them with warm clothing for a hiking and camping trip to a lake in the New Mexico mountains. Because the lake is located at an elevation of over 9,000 feet, it can be quite cold at night. The jackets are a little heavier than I'd like for myself, but that's because I prefer ultralight gear. These, on the other hand, were ideal for the journey. During the cold mountain nights, they kept my boys warm. To be honest, I believe these would keep them warm in a regular (non-heated) environment. If it is not too windy out, you can go hiking or city living in the winter. When my kids outgrow these, I'm thinking of simply upgrading to a larger size with the same jacket.
Our toddler has loved wearing these Columbia fleeces in the cooler months. They're soft and comfy, and they fit snugly enough in a car seat. The only reason this isn't a five-star rating is because of the sizing. We purchased this color in the next size up, and the difference is insignificant. It's only slightly larger when you hold the two sizes next to/on top of one another. We'll almost certainly need to order another size up in the near future because there isn't enough room to expand.
