The quality is obvious, and the straps have a retro feel to them that I really like. My husband commented that it reminded him of something he might have worn as a child! br>If anyone is curious about the difference between a 4t and a 5t, I've included a photo of both. br>My three-year-old is the perfect size for the 4t. It's comfortable and roomy, with enough length to roll up the legs if desired. For reference, he weighs around 40 pounds and stands about 3 feet tall. My 5-year-old, on the other hand, had a difficult time with these. He's about 45 pounds and average height, so these are just right. Certainty isn't something that will last the entire year. The legs are approximately 1 inch in length. He complains that the back rides up his bottom too much because it's 2" too short for him. I've also loosened the straps to their maximum extent. So it appears that he now requires Boys sizing! This is not something I would blame on the overalls. It was just a strange match. br>So far, the clasps/buckles have not caused any issues for either of my children! br>I compared the two sizes side by side to show how minor the difference is. In the 5t, the bib is a little longer, and the legs are a little longer. I'd recommend going up in size if you were on the fence about the 5t.
I ordered a 4T and was given a 5T instead. I assumed I'd have to swap them out. Which, at this time of year, would have been quite inconvenient. My son is a big kid - he's in his early twenties. At 2 years old, he was 38 inches tall and weighed 35 pounds. The overalls have a slim fit to them. There is enough room in them, however, for him to wear a heavy sweater and tights underneath without feeling restricted. One is what I do. The only issue is that the shoulder strap buckle hits a bad spot on his shoulder, which is a 5" cuff at the cuff. I suppose they pass muster because he didn't complain or have any marks.
These were purchased for my grandson, who is a tall two-year-old who dislikes his pant legs rising. Because pants are too big around the waist to get the right length, overalls are the way to go. br>The length was perfect; they stay down at his ankles and don't fall down around his waist, which is a great solution, and they look adorable on him.
I'm disappointed because this is the first time I've ordered clothing from Amazon. I frequently buy Oshkosh at retail and can tell right away that the quality isn't the same as it is in the store. I have these in a smaller size, and the straps are a different thickness and color, and the denim isn't as thick or detailed.
Oshkosh is difficult to find in stores unless you go to a factory outlet. When we go out, my son always wears overalls because it's easier to catch him if he tries to flee. Aside from the traditional blue jean look, I enjoy wearing a variety of colors. Along with the lined overall, this gray is extremely difficult to come by. So, for some, I pay more just for the color, while for others, I get a great deal (better than a store sale or a factory outlet price).
This was purchased for my two-year-old, but I went with the 3t size because it was less expensive than other options. He'll most likely wear it the following year. The fabric is extremely gentle. Isn't the same as a pair of thick jeans. br>I needed a pair of jeans because my two-year-old likes to roll around on the floor, dragging his knees.
These are the two pairs I bought: One is for my son, while the other is for my daughter. Overalls, in my opinion, are a fairly gender-neutral piece of clothing. br>br>Both pairs are of good quality. The denim is a little thin, but the interior lining compensates. I had no idea my daughter's pair of shoes were corduroy - Denim isn't an option. Her overalls will keep her warm in the winter, as you can see from the photos. br>br>On a more serious note, the over-representation of women in the media is problematic. the- Both pairs had excessively tight shoulder buckles, making it difficult to buckle and unbuckle them. They can be easily loosened with pliers, which is a good thing.
Grandson's Christmas present He looks fantastic in them, according to his parents and grandparents! My only gripe is that they were ordered on the 5th of December and did not arrive until after we had exchanged gifts. It irritates me when an item is shipped so slowly when it is in stock!.
