The stand only partially blocks the oculus lenses, but the oculus is positioned on the stand with the front (black cover) tilted up, so any light entering the lenses must come from below the surface on which the stand is positioned. Also, don't take everything you see on the internet at face value.
I bought it for my HTC VR Ellite, and it works because it has only support, but it also holds your HTC Controllers in the cups on the side, and it also has cup hooks to hang the oculus rings on. I also bought one for my Oculus Rift S, and it also has cup hooks to hang the oculus rings on. So, yes, it works for all VR types EXCEPT for virtual reality. The Valve Index is a measure of how well a valve works For Valve index and its controllers, you'll need a unique type.
True, but the pieces also tighten as you press them down; I could turn it inside out and it would still hold together. I also have it next to my office chair, and I accidentally knocked it over a few times while wheeling back before gorilla gluing the holder to my table, and it didn't fall apart. I would recommend it because it is a fairly solid product that is not flimsy.

Other stands have been reported to have damaged lenses, but this one has a 1 1/2" gap between the lenses, and that's with the thinner leather face mask insert rather than the thicker foam mask! There are no straps that I need to undo. It's incredibly simple to put together and doesn't cost a fortune. heavy. It would be nice if it came with a cable wrap, but that isn't a deal breaker. I would strongly suggest it.
i like the stand; it serves its purpose well for a quest and controllers. The biggest problem I have with it is that there is far too much weight forward of the center of gravity on the stand, and it is on the verge of tipping forwards with the HMD and controllers on it. In my case, this would result in a nasty (and most likely fatal) fall from a shelf. br>br>I'm going to a hot-air balloon festival. To counterbalance the weight of the HMD, glue some lead weights to the back underside of the base, which should help, but the instability still exists. It's a major flaw in the design that buyers should be aware of.
I bought this stand because I was tired of dropping my Oculus Rift wherever it landed on the tabletop while the Touch handpieces rolled around. It does everything it says it will and even has enough room for the Xbox controller to be placed on top of the base. It appeals to me. My Oculus now has a safe, stylish home where it can be stored without putting too much strain on the top band or face cushion. Awesome! br>br>In addition, I wanted to give a special mention to the seller, StaSmart, who went above and beyond the call of duty. Amazon mixed up my order, and instead of the Rift, I received a Vive stand. I contacted the seller, who responded within an hour or two. He sent out replacement parts 12 hours later, and I received them 48 hours later, despite the fact that they were shipped from the other side of the world via FedEx Global Express. I can't imagine how much the seller had to pay for that. On this sale, I'm sure he didn't make a lot of money. He did it solely to ensure that I had a good buying experience, and I admire a seller who stands behind his product as strongly as StaSmart did. If I had to make a recommendation for best-in-class, I would recommend I'd recommend them for their excellent customer service. All I can do at this point is leave a positive review - and I hope I'm conveying my delight with the product and the experience! br>br>Look no further if you're undecided about this purchase. It's the item you've been looking for, as well as the seller. StaSmart, congratulations; keep up the good work and you'll go far!.
Although it may be a little pricey for what you get, that is a personal opinion. br>br>The issue I had (and apparently quite a few others based on reviews) was that the pieces they sent for the Oculus Touch controllers were incorrect; they were designed to fit the Vive controllers. Which is strange because the product page for the Oculus, the side of the box for the Oculus, and even the slip inside the box for the Oculus all say Oculus. It appears that the incorrect parts were thrown into the packaging by mistake. To make matters worse, I can't even find a phone number for the seller to call and request the correct parts. br>br>As I previously stated, the stand is fine, nothing special but more than serviceable; however, don't be surprised if you unbox it with the wrong parts.
This is an excellent stand that neatly organizes everything and appears to be made of plastic. It's also quite thick, so I expect it to last long enough to justify the price (which I believe is very reasonable). The only thing I'd suggest is that the manufacturer add a little hook or something for the charger so that when you remove the headset, the charger head stays near the unit, making it easier to plug back in. br>br>The instructions were the only reason this didn't get five stars. They aren't particularly perplexing, but different VR units have different configurations. There is an illustrated guide to the various configurations, but we have an Oculus Quest, and there are two slightly different drawings for the Quest, so I had to figure out which one was correct, which wasn't difficult because there are only a few pieces, it was just. . . Annoying.
This headset holder does exactly what it says on the tin. Hold the Oculus headset firmly in your hands, and the controllers will hang nicely from their designated locations. br>br>From an aesthetic standpoint, this headset stand is fantastic. The molded plastic is nice, the base is wide and stable, and there are no rough edges from the casting process. br>br>The one and only thing I have to say about this stand is that the controller clips that come with it are clearly 3D printed. While this may not be a deal breaker for some, I'd prefer to see the controller clips molded plastic like the rest of the stand; however, the fact that they are 3D PRINTED DOES NOT AFFECT THE FUNCTIONALITYbr>br>I also think the price is a BIT high for what this is, but keep in mind that you are getting a high-quality product for your money. br>br>Product Overall: br>Concept: a tenth of a tenth of a tenth of br>Material: ten tenths of a tenth of a tenth of a score of 9/10br>a score of 6/10br>a score of 9/10br>a score of 9.
This stand is extremely light and does exactly what it says it will. br>br>On the other hand, it isn't the most durable thing out there, and if you're using a wired headset, a simple tug on the wire and your headset and controllers are on the floor, along with the stand. br>br>It worked for a while, but after getting my 3d printer, I printed myself a wall mount, which is much more convenient. Still, it was a quick fix that did the job, so I'll give it a four-star rating. If it had been a little heavier and more sturdy, I would have given it a five-star rating.
