When I was riding my Honda XR650L, I used my phone as a gps and I had a USB power plug without a switch, which was annoying because I had to disengage it from the battery when not in use to avoid draining my battery. With this power socket you can turn it on and off, and it works perfectly. I had to add longer wires to reach the battery, but it was still very easy to install. It works great and turns off completely when the power switch is pressed. I can use Waze and Calimoto while using the gps when it is fast charging so I can use the phone while it is charging. It has an inline fuse which is a nice touch, as well as a lockable cover. My experience with the power socket has been positive, and I recommend it to any motorcycle rider who needs the capability to power USB accessories on their motorbike.

It was one of the items I chose because of the switch it has mentioned in its description There is a switch for the small led lights, but it is only for those lights The power to the unit is not cut Toggle switches are separate items that I had to purchase. Other than that, it is just a simple USB receptacle that needs to be installed with a one inch hole. This appears to be a good product, but I made a mistake in choosing it purely based on the switch feature.
Also, the only metal parts are two prongs for connecting All of the body and the locknut are plastic.

For my 05 suburban, I decided to add 4 of these dual chargers to each row of front seats. I have all 4 of these running off my second battery, so I don't have to worry about the kids leaving them on, but even with all 4 on for a week while charging 4 batteries while the suburban was not being used, the battery wasn't drained. There are no weaknesses in them. An A+ grade. When you're able to handle wiring and mounting them yourself, don't even think about hiring someone.

The application seems to do what it's supposed to. My Trimetric battery monitor does not show any current draw on the device, except at the point of touch that turns it off. I am not sure if it is capacitance since the button does not seem to move. It was expected that the smart 3 would appear. In my case, I wanted to trigger the fast charge notification on my S9+ by using a 0 charger, but it didn't work, hence four stars. The feed is about 7/8" and it has two flats on the feed, so if you drill a smaller hole, you can file it down to get an anti-turning effect.

Currently, I have a 2018 Crownline with a 12V plug on the dashboard. Neither of my outlets needs to be 12V, but I have plenty of items which can be powered by a USB port. Yes, I am able to use one of the USB plugs for 12V/cigarette lighter style receptacles, but these "refuse to be suited to marine environments. ". The Quick Charge 3 I ordered was exactly what I wanted. It was installed yesterday after getting the 0 Dual USB Charger Socket earlier this year. Due to the fact that I was replacing a 12V receptacle, the hole had already been cut and the wires were already in place. Overall, it only took about five minutes to install and it's perfect. It was only the thickness of the backing nut of the new unit that was different from the nut of the socket I removed on the installation. We need to fiddle with it so the fit is right. Because the measurement and threads of the new nut happen to be the same, I could have used the old nut. On/off switch is a great feature for multiplatform devices.
