In my opinion, the Anker car fast charger is the best car charger I have ever tried. It's solid so it feels like 1 solid piece. It feels slightly heavy in a good way I rubbed the charger to see if I could hear or feel anything in it.

Works on my 2012 Subaru, does not work on my 1999 Ford Having now found one that works in my truck, I need to spend some time finding one that does work for me. AnkerDirect responded promptly to my initial inquiry following my initial 2 day wait.

There is no doubt about the quality of the charger. Thankfully, I have only ever used it twice, because I don't frequently have to use the car's charger to charge my cellular phone. There were a couple of things that I noticed that may be of particular interest to users of mobile phones. It is known that if you ever used a GPS app on your cellular phone (like Waze or Maps) that the memory on your battery would be much more depleted than other applications. In addition, if you have to make a long trip, the chances of the battery lasting beyond 3 or 4 hours are slim or nonexistent. After that, if you plug the phone into a charger while the GPS is on, the program will not allow the charger to be reconnected The battery will continue to drain as you charge the phone. If there is no battery in your phone, then even if you run the GPS program on the charger, it will not work. When you are on a long trip, you will likely lose GPS access at the time that you would least want to (near the end of the journey). This charger worked without draining my phone's battery for the better part of an hour after plugging it in with the GPS on. words, the charger appears to provide sufficient power to keep the program running and to recharge the phone while it is out of battery. There is one caveat, I do use a heavy duty fast charging cable between the charger and the phone, and that may explain my experience (I believe it is called a lightning cable).

In terms of cables and charging devices, Anker products are always on my list. Just based on my experience, they always seem to last a long time and work as they should right It seems like I bought a lot of USB micro and USB C cables in my days, and maybe because I'm not good at handling my stuff, they always break so easily. When I found Anker I was amazed. I find their chargers and cables to be extremely well built and last for a very long time.

However, the build quality is excellent. The same understanding others have had that it would be a quick charger was what I had when I bought this for my wife's Glaxay S8. I found that it did not actually fast charge, but rather charged at the same speed as a 5W charger I had lying around rather than acting as a 30W charger (15W/port). This was also the case with the S9+ that I tested. I contacted Anker support. I've had excellent service from them in the past with issues, so I expect this will be the same. In response to my question, they said the charging chip in my S9 was not compatible with the charger in this device, and offered to send me another charger in its place. With the Anker PowerDrive Speed 2, model A2228 I received, I could fast charge both of our phones. Fast charging both phones at the same time is also possible. charger had a nice aesthetic appearance, and it was advertised as being quick charging. It did not work with my Samsung Note 9, which is a device that can be quickly charged. I tried both outlets and switched the cables, but the result was still the same. It takes a long time to charge. After returning this item the next day, I obtained a refund. My recommendation is to shell out a bit more money and get the Platinum fast charging car charger at In the event that I have to return this item, I will immediately buy another. Despite my first one lasting over a year without issues, it keeps charging my Note 9 like a champ (I have bought a second one for my second vehicle as well). Furthermore, you can burn out your fuse if you buy cheap car chargers. My preference is to seek out quick charging compatible with Qualcomm (the Platinum has this capability). If you carefully read some of the reviews on Amazon for the cheaper car chargers, you'll find the same sentiments regarding blown fuses.

As of now, Anker has not disappointed. It wasn't compatible with full speed on my Samsung S9 and I was hesitant to purchase it because it wasn't stated in their disclaimer. The phones I was going to use were the S10. Upon receiving the message "fully charged in 4 hours", I suspected the battery was low. Even so, while it's not fully charged in the extra quick speed, which I think is less than 1, it still charges quite well nonetheless. My two phones both quick charge in under two hours, so in my opinion, that is fine.
