Cleaning the exterior of this heater is extremely difficult. That's why I gave it back.
Selected User Reviews For Wax Warmer, 18 in 1 Hair Removal At Home for Bikini, Eyebrow, Legs, Face, Legs
The wax warmer is fantastic. I love the heating and temperature control, and it's simple to figure out which wax to use. Because this wax did not remove all of the hair, I had to wax several times instead of just once to get a good clean wax. With the amount of time I used to re wax, the wax packets were very small and would not last for an armpit wax. If you get it, I recommend using it for the warmer and purchasing a better wax later.
I went out and purchased some better wax, so I can't comment on the quality of the included wax because I didn't open it. br>br>When the box arrived, I was surprised to see it had been packaged in another brand's box, which was scuffed and unopened. It appears that whoever is selling this warmer found a large number of units for a low price and then separately sourced the boxes. I have a strong suspicion that this product is in use. The plastic had a few minor scratches, and the lid was filthy. The packaging was a little scuffed. The worst part is that the warmer isn't even functional. It has automatic temperature sensing that turns it off when it gets too hot, but there's something wrong with it because it won't stay on for more than 30 seconds at a time and keeps turning itself on and off. Regardless, I was able to melt the wax beads that I had purchased separately and wax some hair successfully. br>br>The product claims that you can leave it on at medium temperature for the entire day, but the defective unit I received won't even stay on for a minute. I'm not returning it because it would be too inconvenient to do so while in quarantine, but I would if I could. I don't mind shady products from dubious sources packaged in odd boxes if they actually WORK. Also, if the cost is reasonable. Even if it worked properly, I would not pay more than $15 for this warmer. And I checked, and it DID cost that much before the financial crisis, so I was overcharged due to my own ignorance. The lesson has been learned, and future buyers should be cautious.
I'm reading the instructions to see if I can figure out how to use this product, and they look like they were written by a third-grader who used Google Translate to translate from Korean. Here's an example from the instructions: br>br> 8. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Every evening, turn the dial counter clock to turn the warmer off. Cover the warmer with the clear lid to keep the wax out. There is no dust. To clean the warmer, use wax to clean it while it is turned off and still slightly warm. Beautiful. br>br> Thank goodness I can figure out how to use this thing by looking it up on the internet.
The color of the warmer does not match that of the box. The warmer appears to be white on the outside of the box, but it is actually black on the inside, as shown. To give you a sense of scale, I left my toothbrush in the picture behind my warmer. The warmer does its job well enough that it turns off on its own, which is a safety feature that prevents you from burning your skin. to maintain a constant temperature I strongly advise purchasing better wax than what comes with it; the wax was poor, but that was to be expected. I bought it for the warmer, so that was fine with me. I thought I'd give the brand a try, and it was stringy, thick, and difficult to spread evenly. I also had to apply it several times to get a completely smooth result; it might be okay for facial hair because it's flexible, but I expect it to take a few applications. To summarize, I am satisfied with the product's quality for the price. It's best used with high-quality wax beads.
This is a fantastic little machine for the price; I bought it to replace a sticky and messy old unit that required strips. The way to go is with this hard-drying wax! There is a lot less muck. It quickly heats up. When the machine turns off, it means it has reached the desired temperature. Don't get all worked up and think it's broken. It appears to be a precautionary measure.
Cons: The instructions are a waste of time, but if you've used one before, you'll know what to do. Because I'm only waxing my face, the wax baggies are small, but they're a good start.
It accomplishes the task at hand. I didn't use the wax because I already had some on hand. I also read in reviews that the wax was a waste of time. It has a very modern and clean look to it. I like how it's black and how sturdy it is. It appeals to me. Quarantine 2020 has given me the opportunity to learn a variety of new skills, including waxing. In the long run, this will save me a lot of money. I'll only visit salons on rare occasions now that I've mastered the art of self-waxing.
Although I prefer wax beads, it has a lot of capacity! br>br>Another plus is the temperature control, which heats and cools quickly and does not stay on all the time. It turns on for a few seconds to keep the wax warm, then turns off.
