This wax warmer gets four stars from me, but if I could, I'd give it three and a half. It easily and quickly melts the wax, but I have two issues with it: 1) This warmer heats up quickly. I put it on the lowest setting without turning it off after the wax has melted, and it stays very hot even then. I even turn it off now and then to let it cool down a little before waxing. 2) It appears to heat unevenly, with the outside of the wax tin being warmer and the center being cooler. Because of how hot it gets in general, this doesn't seem to be an issue. br>br>I do recommend this warmer, but I strongly advise everyone to test the wax temperature before waxing because it can get quite hot and cause blistering burns.
I'm an esthetician, so waxing my face is something I have to do on a regular basis. I was fed up with it and decided to purchase a less expensive wax warmer. This wax warmer is extremely effective. Every Sunday, I apply it to my face and other parts of my body. It does get hot, but that is to be expected. I simply turned it off for a few minutes, and my hard wax is no longer as hot to handle. It's perfect for me!.
This wax warmer is fantastic! The only thing I would change is that I wish it came with more of the cardboard liners for the top to keep the wax from spilling.
It's worth every penny I paid for it, it's simple to use, and it performs admirably.
My previous warmer had stopped working, so I gave it another shot! I like that I can change the temperature from hot to cool. This Gigi warmer isn't likely to last long.
I purchased this for professional use and was extremely disappointed. I've always used Gigi warmers, but this was the first time I ordered one online, and the wax center was still not melted after an hour and thirty minutes! I'm not sure if it was defective, but I returned it and will continue to purchase my warmers from the beauty supply store.
Even on the lowest setting, this pot becomes dangerously hot. It's possible that I'll return it. I was sorely in need of this!.
