It appears to be very appealing. It shaves well, but it's a man's razor. It appears to be fantastic! I was hoping for a little more substance in the handle; something a little heavier would be nice. br>br>I hope the travel case pictures are helpful. It's held in place by a magnet, and it's a lot of fun to open. Also, if you look closely at the photos, you can see slits in the travel case that allow water to escape; these are important because they keep the razor dry.
This item was purchased primarily to serve as a travel case for my razor. However, the razor did fit nicely into the case when I received it, but the razor handle itself is very slick and difficult to control. In the past, I had never cut myself with Fusion blades, but now I have. It's a slippery razor to hold. I'm kicking myself for tossing out my old Fusion razor with the rubber handle.
Although it has a nicer handle than my previous Gillette, I don't believe it will have as good a grip while shaving, which could affect precision. It was about the same price as a blade refill, so I wasn't too disappointed, but the package is enormous for what's inside, which is mostly air and plastic. I had higher expectations for the travel case, but it only holds the razor, so I won't be able to bring an extra blade with me. I'm not sure why they didn't pack the extra blades in a nicer five-pack instead of the loose ones. It was a bad experience because I'll just throw them in the bathroom drawer, where I'll have to look for one every time I change the blade. br>br>Don't waste your time on this "premium," which is nothing more than a larger box with no added value.
It is sufficient reason to place an order. It's ideal for business trips because it protects the razors. The razor's longevity is aided by the drainage and ventilation. The blades are excellent, and the handle is comfortable to hold, as well as weighty and sleek. My wife even complimented the razor on how nice it looks and feels, as well as how smoothly it glides over the skin.
It has a nice subtle texture to it that is pleasant to the touch. The only issue I have is that the extra blades have no place to be stored because it is slotted to allow water to drain out. You've got them strewn about like that. The handle isn't made of metal; it's made of plastic, but it has some weight to it. If you know someone who already uses Gillette, this could be a great gift set for them. I just wish it came in the Chill blue color scheme rather than the yellow.
This purchase has made me very happy. I've been using a self-cleaning electric razor for nearly a decade, but I wanted to cut down on my use of plastic. And, because I had to replace the cleaning cartridge every 4 weeks or so, which is not recyclable, I decided to try using a regular razor again. Let's just say my first purchase was an all-metal double-sided razor, which did not go well. You'd need a full roll of tp after shaving if your father demonstrated the small piece of tp trick. So, after much research, I purchased this razor, and I am blown away by how well it performs. I haven't had a smoother face since before I had enough peach fuzz to justify shaving. Some reviews claim that the handle is too slippery; however, I do not find this to be the case. In addition, I had a stroke a few years ago that still affects my ability to grasp objects tightly. I know that refill razor heads contain plastic, but I found a company that 100% of the material is recycled. However, I still think Gillete should figure out a way to get rid of all the plastic in their razors. This razor comes highly recommended by me to anyone who is on the fence about which razor to buy.
The case is well worth the money. deal with on your own I gave the blades away because I don't care for five blades and prefer two. This would be fantastic if it came with a set of Gillete Skinguards.
This is fine, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The case for the razor handle is very nice, but the plastic blade guard must be removed in order for the case to close completely. It would have been nice to have a spare blade on hand in case something went wrong. The only other issue is that aside from the plastic tray, the additional 7 refills in the set do not come with storage. It would be far more convenient to store them if they arrived in standard packaging.
