My order arrived with a box that was empty.
Some blades work well and about 80% of them work well as well as well as well as well as well a The manufacturer, on the other hand, has a process variance issue. The other 30% doesn't cut through hair as well as the other 30% doesn't cut through hair effectively To cut through stubble, the blades grab a pull and require too much pressure. Cuts, razor burn, embarrassment, and pain result as a result of this. Turkey is the source of these blades. For German, Japanese, or American manufacturers, I believe I will pay a little more. When it comes to blood and skin, it's a pass or fail situation for stars. As a result, I'm going to have to say that this is an unacceptable issue and award one star because zero stars isn't an option. After exchanging three blades in search of the perfect shave, I came up with this. But not before I've bled in sensitive areas and areas that aren't usually cut-prone.
I have other inexpensive straight edge razors and expected this one to be comparable, but it is far superior. I was immediately struck by how nice it looked and how light it was in comparison to my other cheap plastic shavettes. It's not particularly heavy, but it's substantial enough that I don't have to use as much force to shave, lowering my risk of cutting myself. The razor is well-made, and the blade is tightly gripped and protrudes only slightly from the razor, reducing blade flexing and the risk of cutting myself. br>My only complaint with the razor is that the blade doesn't extend all the way to the very tip like I'm used to, so I've had more trouble doing fine detailed edging with the razor's tip. This could simply be a matter of getting used to it. If that's the case, my rating will be adjusted. Nonetheless, I'm pleased with this razor and have ordered a second.
Sharpening a straight razor is a lot more difficult. They give you that 'I'm classy and I shave in the most dangerous way' look with the least amount of effort; they're sharp, keep an edge throughout the shave, and they're inexpensive. I change the blade after every shave because they are so cheap; I used one blade for three shaves and it was still fine. br>br>The despensor box is designed to look like retail packaging. It appeals to me because of the way the smaller boxes are organized.
Great single edge blade that I use to trim my mustache on a regular basis with my straight razor. It's a good sharp blade that gives a close, clean shave; I haven't had to look for something better because these have served me well. With a hundred blades in the box, I can change out the blade once a week to keep a clean, sharp razor on hand, and the price ensures that I always have a good supply. For a man who uses a straight razor, this is a good product at a fair price.
I used to try to make the blades last as long as possible when I first bought them, but after shaving with a straight razor for about 6 years, I've learned that you only use the blades about once before discarding them. You can't even get a brand new razor with the blades for the price of 100 blades. When you consider the replacement blades, which typically come in sets of three or four, you can see why these blades are so popular.
I used to use a different brand and didn't have many cuts, but this brand seems to cut my face more than the more send brand, so I thought I'd switch it up, but Derby hasn't impressed me.
For years, I've used these on a daily basis. It's the best (and only) way for me to line up my beard; it's always crisp, and the shave is closer than any supermarket razor. This is the only way to get a decent line up, and it's incredibly simple to use. Plus, it's a lot less expensive than buying razors at the store.
