After honing razors, this tool is used to sharpen and smooth them. Straight razors, sharpen knives, and chisels are all good candidates for this product.

The razor sharpening strap is made of premium cowhide leather, resulting in smoother shaving blades.

The razor sharpening straps are perfectly balanced to make sharpening a breeze. For ease of use, the strop has a handle at the bottom and a swivel hanging tab on the top end.

Only one strop strap for sharpening a razor is included in the package.

What is the grit of the stone? I'm trying to choose between a stone with 3000-grit and one with 3000-grit. 8000 grit, but I'm wondering if the belt has a higher grit for straight edge sharpening?

A strop is completely devoid of grit until it is applied. Although, in many cases, it's a chocolate vs. red jeweler's rouge debate, I prefer red jeweler's rouge. argument that is standard Strop a small amount of your preferred grit into the leather's surface. The strop has a nice feel to it. I attached it to the leg of my work table with an elastic cord. My only recommendation is to smooth out the rough side and leave the "suede" side alone. Instructions would be helpful as well. I'd like to see a kit with two strops - one for the suede side and one for the rough side. one with a double-sided rough finished strop, as suggested above, and one without.

It was made in the wrong direction - So the strop is on the back, and it doesn't appear to be appropriate

I'm not sure if this is leather at all. However, I am aware of the fact that the side that you actually use - is not the side of manufacturing that they believe you use - As a result, it does not appear to be correct. I returned it because it didn't feel like the other side was made of leather. I switched to a different brand of toothpaste - Instead, on both sides, it's undeniably leather.

A dreadful flaw in the design

What a dreadful flaw in the design! Because the hook on this strop isn't swivel, you won't be able to flip it if you attach it to something. To use it on the other side, you literally have to unbuckle it. Horrible design.
