11 inches is most likely the length of the leather strip. canvas strip might be shorter since the way it is built makes it shorter. You can use the canvas strip where the leather back is folded out of the way when you fold the leather back. Personally, I would enjoy the strop more if it were a bit longer and 3 inches wide. That way I wouldn't run out of strip as I stroke and the entire 3 inch length of the blade would But those are just my personal preferences. It looks like it's manufactured with a lot of quality, and it has some weight to it from the pictures. I ordered this so that I could sharpen my blades more effectively. As soon as you hold it and use it, it feels feather light and almost as though it's nothing at all. As you can see, its not very quality driven it is serviceable, however do not expect it to be as good as a barbershop or as your grandfather's. I used it only once before the emblem fell off due to the stickiness. It feels almost like cardboard. Based on my experience, I gave it a rating of three stars.
It is stated that the type 2 strop is a dual sided strop, much like the type 1, but with leather on both sides instead of leather and canvas on one side. When I received the item, I was unclear about which side was which, so I contacted the seller. They told me it was only a one-sided I could have spent a few more bucks and gotten the one I wanted on the first try if I had known that. The only successful use of this tool so far was something I tried without success as I appear to have completely ruined any progress I may have made on one side by using The type 2 strop is best avoided unless you only want a single-sided strop. A quick update A couple of messages back and forth with the seller gave me some insight into what they meant and how I might use the product. I'll be back to change the rating and review if everything works out.
I've used this on my butcher knives and it works great. I carry a pocket knife. There are a lot of layers to it. The thickness of an iguana is about half an inch. Leather which can be made into a strap is two inches wide and approximately eleven inches long. Stropping used to be done with my old Levi's leather belt, but this is far superior.

This strop is not the nicest, but it's certainly not the worst. It's a lot better than the one I don't have now. doesn't seem like it will be long enough to fit everything you need, and the leather seems more like suede than leather. Though there is no swivel on the chair, its construction seems solid. At such an affordable price I would highly recommend it!.
