Using a SnozzlePro Universal Nozzle Adapter on the diffuser nozzle, you can connect the Xtava Black Orchid diffuser to MOST ANY HAIR DRYER. It's so simple and straightforward to use!
I took out the diffuser's plastic insert and inserted it into the nozzle of my hair dryer. That seemed to be a reasonable match. The diffuser was then placed on top of the insert, which was a bit of a tight fit. To keep the diffuser and dryer in place, I wrapped duct tape around them. I've only used the rig once so far, but it appears to be functional. To be sure, it's not a simple attachment, and I have no idea how long my current setup will last.

It appeals to me. The large bowl perfectly cups my hair and dries it much faster than the Conair dryer's diffuser. The only issue I had was that without an adapter, it wouldn't fit in my dryer. My husband, on the other hand, is a genius, and he discovered a rubber plumbing fitting that worked perfectly! 😉.
I'd never used a diffuser before, but I figured I'd give it a shot. This item appeared to be in high demand. This diffuser doesn't produce miraculous results for me, but it dries and keeps my small waves intact in just about 10 minutes. I have naturally soft waves that fall out when blow drying, and it takes me a few hours to dry my hair naturally. Advantages: br>br>
- It's large enough to hold a lot of hairbr>- To dry the scalp, make air holes at the tips of your fingers. br> Better universal fit thanks to the inner detachable ringbr>- It does exactly what it says it will do (a big plus)br>br>Cons:
- During use, it becomes warm to the touchbr>- Because it is large, it may be difficult for some people to handle. br>- My package had a re-usable label on it. br>br>Make sure your hair dryer barrel isn't too long for this diffuser by taping the original seal like a return (has more to do with customer service than product)br>br>One thing I will definitely recommend is that your hair dryer barrel isn't too long for this diffuser by taping the original seal like a return (has slightly more to do with customer service than product)br>br> Because the diffuser is so large, attaching it to a hair dryer that is already long will make moving it around your head difficult and/or awkward. My Hot Tools hair dryer, on the other hand, is a very compact design, so it works great with this diffuser while still being easy to handle. The length of my hair dryer is less than 9 inches. According to the product details, the top three rated hair dryers on this page, by Xtava, Revlon, and Babyliss, are all at least 11 inches long. Add a few more inches with this diffuser, and you've got yourself a pretty long tool. br>br>The diffuser's inner detachable ring is just under 2 inches wide, and my hair dryer fits and stays put, but the diffuser would likely slide off if my barrel width was a few centimeters less. Anything smaller than that won't work, especially with the inner ring in place. br>br>This diffuser does not fit the Elchim Milano, which is probably irrelevant to anyone.
The diffuser is quite large, and it has a pleasant scent to it. made. By removing the black rubber ring, I was able to make it fit my Revlon turbo 1875w ionic ceramic dryer. I didn't realize until after I cut it that you can remove the rubber ring by sliding off an inner plastic insert.
There are openings at the tips of the fingers where air can flow, which helps to dry your hair roots while diffusing the ends. As a result of this feature, the drying time is significantly reduced. The gap between the diffuser and the blow dryer is unusually small. The recommended blow dryer wasn't available when I ordered the diffuser. Sally's Beauty Supply had one that would work. The store clerk was gracious enough to let me test my diffuser on the blowdryers to ensure that it fit. This product has exceeded my expectations!.
Forget about those $200 dryers with their patented diffusers that promise to solve all of your curly hair woes. This diffuser reduces the amount of hair blowing around in your hair (and thus frizz), reduces the number of times you need to move your dryer around your head, and evenly distributes air and heat to your roots and ends. I have an ulta standard conair infinity pro dryer, and by removing the plastic ring inside the attachment, I was able to secure this diffuser to my dryer.
It was an excellent fit, and I am extremely pleased with this diffuser!.
Grasps my hair and yanks it! Everyone raved about this diffuser, so I was really looking forward to receiving it. It's been a month since I started using it. I think it works well, and I like the large size; however, the quality is the reason I only gave it 3 stars. The tips of the fingers have small ridges on them from where the mold broke off (I'm guessing), and they catch my hair when I diffuse. I keep putting it in my hair in different positions to see if I can get it to not hook. I always end up catching my hair a few times every time I use it, and it pulls my hair out no matter how careful I am. I wish xtava had a better quality control department that required them to sand off the small bits of plastic left over from the molding process. I'm going to try sanding them off by hand to see if that helps. Because I have a problem with it catching my hair, I would not recommend it. Because this diffuser didn't fit my perfectly good dryer, I also purchased the dryer that came with it. I'm so disappointed that I squandered my hard-earned cash! I'm going to give it to someone else and try the curlyco brand one instead.
This isn't a miracle worker, but it did cut my dry time in half, which is close enough for me. The 'fingers' don't break up my curls or cause frizz, and they diffuse air so well that they really help dry the root thoroughly. It fits perfectly on my Rusk Speed Freak dryer, and despite dropping it about 5 times per week on average, I haven't had any issues with overheating or wear and tear. I'm a huge fan of this diffuser and can't say enough nice things about it.
