No way was this sturdy, and even after sanitizing it was worse. This product was purchased to comb through my dog's coat. The size was perfect, but the quality was disappointing. It's more like a use once and throw away kind of item.

I have used these on all types of fur coats, my husky, my jack russell, my short, fine hair beagle, my great dane, and I even use them on my jack russell! The animals melt into a puddle when they are brushed, and all the shedding fur gets caught between the two sides of the comb

The material is nice As you can see from the photo, the combs are thin but don't bend easily in the hand. They worked great for removing When my husband misplaced them, I was able to find them easier because of their bright colors.
