PLEASE READ THE MANUAL CAREFULLY. The first negative review I saw was of a sleeping baby girl whose neck was in an awkward position due to the parents' failure to properly install it! Because she is so small, she should be placed in the REAR facing positions. 3. The straps should have been positioned BELOW her shoulders, allowing the headrest to be lowered and out of the way. Also, make sure the straps aren't pinching you. br>In my experience, the installation is difficult when the seatbelts are locked off. Because my son is close to 40 pounds, I didn't use LATCH; if your child is 40 pounds or more, use the seatbelt instead. If you're going to front face, I recommend positions 4 or 5. Position 4 is better for my son's neck if he falls asleep. Make sure the straps are at or slightly above your shoulders when you're facing forward. br>When compared to the Chicco NextFit Zip,
- Chicco's nextfit zip is simple to remove and clean. br>- Chicco has more tilted position options than Graco, with an overall score of 9, and Graco has a score of 6. br>- Chicco is a huge boat, and getting a baby into the middle seat is a real workout!
- Chicco has that side protection, which makes it a boat, but Graco Trueshield has side protection without the bulkiness. br>My only con: br>I bought two and will update my review as time goes on because there aren't enough positions for my son's head to go forward if he falls asleep. br>I bought two and will update my review as time goes on because there aren't enough positions for my son's head to go forward if he falls asleep. br>I bought two and will update my review as time goes on because there aren't enough positions for my son's.
Sleeping in this environment is very difficult for the baby. I expected a good all-in-one car seat for my baby at this price and with a four-star rating, but this is one of the worst purchases I've ever made. Every time I see my poor baby sleep in such an uncomfortable position and worry that it will hurt her neck, I regret purchasing it. However, it would be too costly to simply dispose of it.
It appears to be grey in all of the photos, but the fleck is burgundy! In response to a customer question, Graco even stated that it is grey. It's not all black and white:.
I'm in a lot of pain as I type this. Graco is one of my favorite brands. Although I trust the brand, I would advise you to be cautious about this car seat. Because my son is four years old, I have him in a front-facing car seat. Every time he falls asleep, there is insufficient neck support, and his head falls to his chest, leaving him in excruciating pain the next day. Poor guy! The safety latches are the next step. Only rear-facing car seats can be used with the latch system. Despite the fact that in our other graco car seat - I can use the latch system on the 65 convertible car seat because it can be used front-facing. As a result, not using the latch system gives me a lot of anxiety. Those are the two major points on which I would advise you to proceed with caution. I hope this information is helpful in terms of safety and comfort.
It was incredibly simple to make the adjustments, and it now fits her perfectly! We've got the non-profit organizations. The cover is much easier to remove, the center strap/button is in a better place to ensure a snug fit, and releasing the shoulder straps is easier on the DLX version as well. We wish we had two of the DLX versions for ease of release and tightening, but if money is an issue, the non-DLX version will suffice. DLX is both secure and simple to work with.
This was only two weeks ago when I bought it. It took me a long time to figure out which car seat my son needed. I read a lot of reviews on a variety of car seats before making my decision. Even though my husband thought I was crazy for spending so much money on a car seat, I chose this one. But I'm glad I argued because I love this car seat. Advantages: br>br> If the padding becomes dirty, it is simple to remove and wash. Just a few clips and you're good to go. I also like how the harness straps can be adjusted simply by pulling up and pressing a button. Instead of having to disassemble, readjust, and then reassemble everything, you can do it all at once. I also appreciate the extra padding and adjustable seat positions. It's fairly simple to install in the car, but it's a little more difficult to remove, and I haven't heard any of the strange noises that some people have complained about. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I've noticed a few disadvantages to this type of car seat since purchasing it. My son is still in need of a carrier while we're out and about, even though he's only 5 months old. Because I can't put him in a shopping cart, I'm looking for a carrier or sling that is both convenient and small enough to keep in the car for when we're out and about. The second disadvantage I've noticed with this type of seat is that, unlike infant carriers that you can take with you wherever you go, you can't take these out or they aren't meant to be. Restaurants are a good example of this. I don't eat out very often, but when I do, I have nowhere to put my baby because the car seat is left in the car. So now I'm looking for a portable high chair for those situations because I had a carrier but couldn't eat until the rest of the family was done so someone could hold him so I could eat because he was strapped to my chest instead of in a sling like the infant carrier allowed us to do.
Now I don't have to put up with a filthy car seat cover until I've dragged out the entire vehicle and figured out how to disassemble it just to clean the cover! Now, if anything gets on the car seat cover, all I have to do is pull it out, wash it, and replace it!.
This is by far the best of the ones we've had. It's incredibly simple to set up and transfer between vehicles. I really like how the seat cover can be removed without having to disassemble the seat for cleaning. While the removable cup holders are sturdy when installed, I'm glad they can be removed so I can clean them easily. I love that it has a lot of recline options and that it will grow with my baby, making it the only seat he'll ever need. It was well worth the money.
