After totaling a car, traffic was backed up for a while
5/5

In a 60 mph car accident, my three children and I were killed. This two-year-old was in the car seat at the time of the accident, and he walked away from it by biting his tongue. I'm grateful for the safety he received from this seat!.

Seat number two
5/5

I'd been looking for a second GOOD car seat for my husband's vehicle for a while, so when I saw the price drop, I dashed out to the nearest store to "test" the SlimFit. I compared the SlimFit and the Milestone, which were both on sale (at Walmart) for the same price and are essentially the same seat. I have a 2014 Graco 4Ever as my primary car seat, which I adore. It has a lot of features, and it is comparable to the SlimFit and Milestone. My daughter and I ultimately decided on the SlimFit because of the two (collapsible) cup holders. br>The seat is extremely comfortable! There's a lot of cushion in the head and butt area, as well as added lumbar support; it's a little more cushy than the 4Ever, but ours has been in use for a long time. The frame is steel-reinforced, just like the 4Ever, but the "beams" aren't as thick or wide as the 4Ever's. This is undoubtedly the reason for the SlimFit's reduced weight. The SlimFit also comes with the inRight latch system, which is a must-have. Installation is fairly simple, though the inRight latch belt is a little more difficult to get as snug as I'd like. It's possible that this is due to the fact that it's brand new. When you raise or lower the headrest, the harness adjusts automatically. br> The seat/base is slightly slimmer than the 4Ever. In my 2014 Mazda CX-S, I'm currently putting the SlimFit to the test. When I'm in the 5 (middle seat), I feel like there's a little more room for passengers than when I'm in the 4Ever. Only four "recline" positions are available. br>br>The only drawback is that there are only four of them. I wish there were five of them. The 4Ever has two recline positions dedicated to forward facing (6 total, including "booster mode"), which is a nice feature. With the added recline, I think it's a little more comfortable, but the SlimFit is definitely comparable to the 4Ever in terms of overall comfort. If you can get it for less than retail (I $183, $199 after tax), I strongly advise you to buy it. br>A photo has been added for aesthetic comparison.

For smaller vehicles, this is a good option
5/5

Ok. Please excuse the pictures, but seeing actual comparison pictures helped me make my decision when I was shopping for new car seats. The Graco extend2fit car seat is being replaced. I drive a 2015 Subaru crosstrek, which is the smallest of the Subaru crossover line, and middle seat room is important because we have a teenager in our house who occasionally needs to sit in the back for ull family outings (if I could do it all over again, I would have just bought the minivan that I swore up and down we didn't need and I didn't want). br>br>Anyway, comparing the two seats side by side, you can see the extend The slimfit's seat is slimmer due to the absence of an armrest and the flip-out cup holders. Both seats have similar backs and headrests, but one noticeable difference is that the slimfit's back is a solid panel, whereas the extend2fit's back is open. This is merely a cosmetic distinction; they are both functional. br>br>The recline option is the same, the padding is the same, and the wonderful sliding headrest to adjust height is the same (this is also my most favorite option on the Graco seats)br>br>The seat looks comfortable, and the install for rear facing was straight forward; forward facing you have to remove the latch and slide it through the rear pass (didn't know that, so I called Graco and a tech walked me through it) I did get my hand br>br>The seat appears to be a little lighter than the extend2fit, but it is still a heavy seat; it is not a good choice if you move car seats frequently or want to lug it through the airport. br>br>I like that all of the padding is removable and machine washable, but I don't like that without the infant seat insert, there are a lot of cracks and slips through the fabric for animal crackers and gummy snacks to migrate br>br>Overall, this is a sturdy, well-built seat that converts to a booster (which is a bonus because it means I won't need another car seat for the kids later on). br>br>TL;DR; DRbr>The seat doesn't appear to be any smaller than extend2fit, but it's comfortable, and the installation went smoothly. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

For small cars, I recommend this seat
5/5

It's a squeaky-clean situation! In my Ford Escape, on the other hand, we were able to fit three car seats across! Before these, we had the Graco 4ever and Graco nautilus, which were both too wide to fit an infant seat next to them. We replaced them with two slimfits, and the infant seat now fits perfectly. Def. This is a great seat for small cars!.
