How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

By removing sore elbows from bathtime, mom and dad will be more comfortable and safe. Our rest has soft foam padding, a non-slip backing, and a handy pocket to keep small items safe.
To keep it in place, simply suction it to the tub's edge and hang it to dry after use.
Zip pocket for jewelry and other valuables that is water resistant.
Staying in place is made easier with suction cups and a non-skid base.
Free of BPA and Phthalates

Questions & Answers

It appears to fit over the tracks of sliding glass doors. Is it big enough for an adult to sit on?

I'm not sure how comfortable the foam would be over shower door tracks because it isn't very thick. Have you thought about using a foam pilliow as a base?

What is the purpose of the Velcro circles?

To keep the flaps together while being stored. When not in use, we store ours in the corner of our bathroom, which helps to keep the space tidy. Leaning on this is a dream! We've had ours for more than a year and it still hasn't lost any of its cushion. I would strongly suggest it.

What's the best way to get rid of the stench? It's been a few months, and it's starting to smell moldy?

That's something I've struggled with as well. Water can also leave a stain. Even though the tag said not to, I tried washing it in the machine. It didn't work out very well. My husband, on the other hand, took a hand towel and scrubbed it with dawn dish soap last week, and it looked brand new when he was finished! That has proven to be effective so far. We were on the verge of tossing it out because it was stinking up our small bathroom.

Is it true that the suction cups are effective? I recently had to return another product that was supposed to do the same thing but never worked. ?

My suction has been overly effective- One of the suction cups was ripped out after 6 months. However, in its defense- If no one had been so kind as to take it off, it would have been fine!

Low tensile strength We have the entire Moby bath set and have been pleased with all of the other products, so this was our second Skip Hop elbow rest
3/5

Unfortunately, after almost two years of use, we had to discard the first elbow pad because it began to stink. The product's disadvantage is that there is no easy way to dry it, and water soaks into the padding over time. However, because the first one lasted so long, we decided to purchase another. After three months, our entire bathroom reeked of mildew, which we traced back to this pad. This one didn't last nearly as long as the previous one. We've switched to draping a towel over the tub's edge, which is less water-resistant. It's repellent, but at the very least it can be washed. br>br>While this item is adorable, it has a low durability rating.

After a few months, you'll have a hard time removing the funk odor
3/5

Let's make a product that's meant to be used in close proximity to water but can't be washed or dried in a machine. AN AMAZING THOUGHT! You say, however, that I can "spot clean" it. Well, I've tried "spot cleaning" until the fabric is worn thin, but it still stinks from being used near a splashing one year-old. old. Don't buy this for the sake of your wallet. After a few months, the damp odor will drive you to throw it away. And, just to be clear, I hung this thing up after each use on the towel rack. I also used Febreeze and dried it in the sun. This is a terrible product.

Meh
3/5

With proper care and use, the item became moldy. When I first began bathing my baby in an infant tub, this was ideal. But, despite daily cleaning and drying, it developed mold underneath in the corners, and after 5 months of use, I had to discard it.

Any bath tub with a shower door should have one of these
4/5

If you have a shower stall or bath tub with painful door slider grooves, this little guy is a must-have; it's adorable and extremely comfortable. While giving our little man a bath, I rest my elbow on it, and on occasion, my chin. I'm not sure what I'd do with the small zipper pouch, but it appears to be a useful addition. When you're finished with the bath, use the small hook to hang the pad so it can drip dry. After a year of use, there is some discoloration, but the value is excellent overall. The only reason for the four stars is because of the discoloration. I also intend to use it when my son is old enough to get in and out of the tub - to keep him from slamming into himself if he slips on his way out.

Exactly what it claims to be! We only have one bathroom because my family of three lives in a smallish house built in 1945
5/5

As a result, all of the baby bath supplies are kept in the same bathroom that both we and our visitors use. I like that this can hang on the bathtub and be hidden by the shower curtain, so it's not just another item to store. It does, however, fold up for storage and has a loop for hanging it up to dry (if it gets particularly wet - see below). Ours gets splashed a lot, but thanks to the scuba fabric, it dries quickly and stays put on the tub's edge). br>br>I was worried it wouldn't stay put, but the suction cups have been holding it in place for months, since we first put it on the tub. The zippered pocket is ideal for storing my rings or keeping an eye on my daughter while I bathe her. br>br>Prior to purchasing this and the OXO TOT kneeler, I was of the opinion that such items were unnecessary "stuff" and thus a waste of money. While this item is not absolutely necessary for caring for a child (as opposed to, say, food and clothing), I can confidently say that it is one of the best and most frequently used "extra" baby-related products that my husband uses. I'm grateful I bought this every time we give our daughter a bath!.

Bathing babies is a breeze with this product
4/5

This is my second time owning one. After about three years, the old one I was using for my son became too funky and began to mold, so it was discarded. He had also reached the age where it was no longer necessary. Another one was purchased for a new baby who had recently graduated from the baby tub to a regular tub. This brand has a wider range of products than others, which is why I purchased it again. This one doesn't seem to stick as well as my previous one (and only on the suction cup on the inside of the tub), but that's not a big deal because I can just wet the cup and restick it in 2 seconds or less because the outer cups are fine.

Excellent content - a little too narrow To begin with, it appeals to me
4/5

The pad is filled with gel and provides a very comfortable place for me to rest my elbow. It dries quickly and fits comfortably over the bath tub's edge. br>br>I deducted a star because of the following:
- It measures 16" wide x 16" high x 16" deep x 16" high x 16 This is suitable for ONE elbow only. I'd prefer a wider rest so that both elbows could be rested. Currently, depending on which elbow is resting on the bath tub edge, I have to shift it right or left. Is it possible that getting two will solve the problem?
- The elbow rest is held in place by three suction cups on the bathtub's side. The first time I used it, TWO of the suction cups came off. This has been helpful because I need to move the rest right and left. br>br>I'm afraid I can't comment on the zippered pouch on the side of the rest; I'm not sure what it's for, as it was too small for anything bath-related. I can think of a few things that are related (but not toys or sponges). I suppose a journey is in order. A small bar of soap or a sized shampoo can be placed inside. This item is also too narrow for the "wide stance" I need to adopt when baby-wearing, so I use it in conjunction with a gardening kneeling pad (that hasn't been outside). bathing. Also, getting two could possibly solve the problem.

It's a good idea to use a bathtub railing cover
5/5

I bought this for our daughter to use when she has to bathe our grandson and we have sliding glass doors, so leaning over the railings/track to bathe him is painful. . . . As a result, it works perfectly and has sufficient padding and suction cups to keep it in place.
