My wife and I are first-time parents, so we naturally purchased/received a plethora of baby items. We were talking about what baby products we would buy if we had to do it all over again and only had about 5 options. One of them was this particular instance. We struggled with breastfeeding for a long time before succumbing and purchasing this pillow. It was enormously beneficial. With this pillow, our baby appeared to be more at ease and nursed for longer periods of time. My wife didn't have to contort herself into strange positions to feed our baby any longer. This is a complete game changer. Perhaps we were just inexperienced with breastfeeding at the time, but if we had purchased this product sooner, we would have avoided a lot of frustration.
I've faced almost every known breastfeeding challenge, and despite the difficulties, the majority of my babies have been successfully breastfed. All of this is to say that my nursing pillows are practically a part of my daily routine. I like to keep one in the bedroom and one in the living room, so I use at least two per child. I ordered this as a replacement for a pillow that had recently met its demise. Unfortunately, because it is so thin, my baby was unable to lie on top of it. I'm a small woman with small children. This may be suitable for a newborn, but it will be insufficient for children aged 6 months and up. If your baby is average to larger, 3 months may be all you need. I'm disappointed to see that this is much smaller than when I purchased it previously, and I'm now on the lookout for a new nursing pillow. Alternatively, it could be time to make one. This one was quickly returned to me. Beautiful prints, as well as washable covers and a soft feel. Sadly, however, it is too narrow.
I now consider Boppy to be a member of the family because I rely on it so much. Breastfeeding is an ultra marathon and I don t think you can perform it 100% comfortably ever but Boppy makes it so much better than you can perform it 100% comfortably ever% The cover is simple to clean and can be thrown in the washing machine. Get a second cover to use while the first is being washed. The pillow will also be washed. We have two pillows, but if you don't want to bring too much, you can use others. This is a must-have for any new baby (unless the mother/parents-to-be prefers another method of support). Breastfeeding mothers aren't the only ones who require assistance; bottle feeders, too, require assistance. To relieve your back and neck, it's a good idea to try a few different styles for different seats.
My best friend has a Boppy, and I recently acquired one as well. For different reasons, I adore both of them. The Boppy is well-made, easy to clean, and I believe it is more convenient to use when changing BF positions- Football, for example. I also like that the baby will be able to use it as he grows older. It comes with a soft tag that explains how it can be used in development. br>br>The Brest Friend wraps around your waist and transforms you into a human table. I like it for feeding my baby in bed at night because I know I won't fall asleep with him because of the belt clip. It has a washable cover as well, but underneath there's a strange styrofoam piece. In terms of stability and feeding position, I recommend both based on your goals. If you're going for a cradle hold, the baby will be more secure on your best friend. On Boppy, the husband likes to hold the baby:.
This Boppy pillow has made me very happy. I was initially sent the lounger version, which was what I had requested. We didn't find we used that one as much as we thought we would, so I ordered this one for months after the baby was born. It's a lot easier to nurse this one, and it's also great for helping him sit up. If I could go back in time, I would not have purchased the lounger and instead would have purchased this one.
This nursing pillow is adequate but not perfect; I have a Boppy from five years ago that appears to have degraded in quality. My new Boppy is a little less firm, and while the cover has a cute print, the fabric on the pillow itself is a little rough and baggy. I liked my first Boppy, but after this recent purchase, I'm wondering if I should have gone with a different brand/style.
This is the ideal pillow for nursing our baby. I was able to get a good angle on him because he was at the perfect height. Ee had some acid reflux issues at first, so being able to prop him up was extremely beneficial. He eventually grew out of it as a result of the food he was given. When he was about 10 weeks old, his clothes began to feel a little tight. I'm excited to put it to use as a sitting aid. The cover is very easy to clean, and there are no issues with the stitching or zipper. br> Overall, this is a fantastic purchase.
On the cover, there is a cute design. But I gave it four stars because whatever gets on the boppy soaks right through the cover and into the boppy. Other covers I have allow you to wipe off any spills before the boppy absorbs them. Cleaning and replacing the cover on a boppy is much easier. It irritates me that I have to wash the entire pillow every time it is puked on.
