It does not sit well with me. I'm sorry to say this, especially after reading so many positive reviews, but I find this pillow to be way too stuffed; the baby lies on it like a hill, doesn't sink in, and can roll off at any time. If you, like me, have a bit of belly after giving birth - It wouldn't fit well around your waist because it's a little small and tight there. I'm trying to get used to it and adjust, but it's always making me feel uneasy.
After trying to nurse with the Boppy, which caused a lot of pain in my hands and wrists, I decided to purchase My Brest Friend. The Boppy doesn't appear to be designed for a tired nursing mother's needs. If you're breastfeeding, do yourself a favor and get the My Brest Friend. Until the baby is old enough to use the Boppy for its other purported uses, the Boppy is gathering dust in the corner.
That isn't the case here. This is something you'll use all day, every day. I received one as a gift and then ordered this one so that I could have one on the main floor and one in the basement. This one has a super cute cover that is easy to remove for washing. It's also possible to wash the entire pillow. When I'm not feeding my son, I put him in it and prop him up so he can look around. However, you should never leave a small child in it alone. I've discovered that if you're overweight, it's more difficult to use. Simply put, I must ensure that I am sitting completely upright. That is not, however, the fault of the product. At the very least, you should have one.
Now. This pillow is unquestionably one of those essential baby items that you will actually use. I used to have the original version with my first two sons, but I gave it away when I found out I was pregnant, so I ordered this one. This version appeals to me more. It's ideal for nursing, but it also aids in the holding of my sons' new brother. We placed the pillow on their lap first, followed by the baby. Anyone can hold the baby because it provides height and stability. br>There are a plethora of unnecessary baby products on the market that you will never use or touch. This one, on the other hand, will be used every hour, every day, and so on. br>Get it. I have no qualms.
It helps me position my little one perfectly (he's a larger baby, so it's a little challenging for me, especially after a c section) and he's been able to latch a lot better. It has simply made breastfeeding much more pleasant for both of us. Although I would prefer if the sides were a little longer to help keep it snug against my body (it does occasionally slide forward due to my baby moving), I'm confident that once I lose the extra belly, it will fit better. This also aids his gas, allowing him to pass it more comfortably and without as much pain or strain.
I was told I needed a Boppy by everyone. br>I placed an order for a pair. Our hospital bag was packed with it. br>br>No one in the hospital even wanted to let me use it. I tried to use it several times before giving up. For some reason, it does not appeal to me. br>br>However, at my lactation consultation, she recommended a different one, my Brest friend, which wraps around and clips on, and omg, it made such a difference. br>br>There are some uses for the Boppy. It is used by my older son to assist him in holding the new baby.
With my first child, I purchased a generic nursing pillow. I eventually gave it away because it was of no use to me. This time I purchased a boppy, and the difference is incredible. I should have invested the first time I had the opportunity. When I'm feeding my son, it's thick enough to raise him to the proper height, which saves my back. It's an excellent support pillow for him to sit on. When he's gassy, it's great to put him down. I got this right before he was born, and I would recommend it to any new mother who plans to breastfeed.
That pillow hasn't piqued my interest. It's convenient and relieves pain in the elbow and shoulder, but I still need to put a towel or small pillow underneath for breastfeeding. The material and cover irritates the skin of newborns, so it would be ideal if they could be replaced with organic cotton or natural fabrics. The cover started to tear after a few washes.
