It was the pillow, as well as your choice of case. It was still in its original box. This was a gift for her, and she absolutely adores it.
Yes, the animal print slipcover can be taken off. I've removed mine a few times to clean it! I haven't tried a different cover yet, but I expect it to work the same way:
Rebecca, I'm a little late, but here's some general information: The pillow's fabric/patterned cover is not waterproof, but it is machine washable. Underneath the patterned cover, there is a separate waterproof cover that is worth purchasing.
Yes! This is a fantastic pillow.

I had a boppy with my daughter and wished I had gotten another, but I made the mistake of getting the other top brand nursing pillow instead. br>br>Now that I've purchased another boppy, this momma and her baby are overjoyed. His latch is better, there are fewer steps to putting it on (no buckle to come undone anyway), and it is simply more comfortable. br>br>It's all about Boppy right now. I'm not going anywhere else now. And this print is simply adorable! br>br>Public service announcement from a mother of multiple reflux-affected children. ADD THE WATER RESISTANT PROTECTOR TO YOUR ORDER. The pillow will serve you well for a long time.
I figured it would be ideal for when my furbaby insisted on being held like a human baby! My arms don't get tired holding him for hours because of the firmness of the pillow, and my three-year-old furbaby and I love it!.
I also like the covers; they're great for feeding the baby with a bottle on your lap, breastfeeding, sitting the baby up when full support is still required, sit up support for a baby on the floor, and so on. They're tightly woven to prevent liquids from penetrating too quickly. I still have a pillow protector on my bed. My covers need to be washed on a regular basis, but even without the protective layer, the pillow is well protected from spills.
For breast-feeding mothers, this is a must-have item. This pillow is one of my wife's favorites because it makes breastfeeding our baby so much easier. The shape fits perfectly around her waist and allows her to easily balance our daughter for long marathon feeding sessions without too much discomfort. Breast feeding takes a lot of effort and time, so any little thing that makes it easier is worth the money in my opinion. The cover is washable, which is convenient because no matter how careful you are, it will eventually become soiled. Overall, I have no complaints about the animal prints because they are fun but not too busy.
Ok Pillow, my wife received three different pillows to try out: Boopy, Fisher Price, and My Breast Friend are three of the most popular children's characters. My Breast Friend is an interesting idea but not useful for all chairs, positions, quality of fabric and pillow isn't great neither feels cheap as material and foam, Boopy was way too soft and didn't hold the form well crunching in the middle as overall pillow is small (my wife is fairly petite so we don't understand why it is so small), Boopy was way too soft and didn't hold the form well crunching in the middle as overall pillow is small (my wife is fairly petite so we Fisher Price was a winner for us because it is sturdy, the material is sheer and of good quality, and it can be used in a variety of settings such as chairs, beds, and so on.
The tranquil jungle slipcover is one of my favorite designs. The pattern is very cute, and everyone who has seen it has remarked on how much they like it. The boppy pillow is one of my favorites. It has a nice firmness to it, and it has made breast-feeding a lot more comfortable. The firm pillow is a good fit for my son. Another popular brand that our lactation consultant recommended that we use in-house was recommended by our lactation consultant. I have a pillow in my office, but this is the better one for me, and I am glad I purchased it. My husband does not like the pillow because it does not fit comfortably around his body for bottle feeding, and I had complications from my labor/delivery, so using it was a little difficult and uncomfortable in the first couple weeks due to extreme edema (it was so bad that it included the abdominal area). Despite the fact that it fits a wide range of body types, I can see this type of pillow causing some fit issues for people who are larger than average. Just something to consider, but I really like the pillow and would recommend it to almost anyone.
As a first-time mother, this became a must-have, but not for the reason it was intended. br>br>I've had the most success with the Luna Lullaby pillow when it comes to positioning to breastfeed (enough that I bought a second). My colossal, melon-shaped melon, on the other hand, Coming out of the head monster baby wrecked my tailbone, and traditional air rings or foam donuts didn't help. They were only marginally effective at relieving pressure from prolonged sitting: Even if they were positioned to relieve the tailbone, they would still put pressure on the vaginal area, which was not ideal right after delivery. They were also a little tight around my hips. When seated, the pressure was relieved in both areas. Baby hated being put down and in a carrier, so for the first two months, I spent a lot of time in a rocking chair, which was a godsend. Every time I sit, I have to use this to support my tailbone, and I'm glad we bought it.
My nursing pillow of choice is the Boppy. These are real arm-wrestlers for someone who is currently exclusively breastfeeding her second child and spends hours sitting around with a leech attached to her boob. savers. I had two left over from my first child, and I recently purchased two more to place around the house. They're extremely simple to clean. br>br> You can throw the entire pillow in the washing machine. Exceptionally useful for poopy blowouts. br>br>Bonus tip for nursing mothers: If you need to type on your computer and your child wakes up as soon as you take him or her away from the breast, I found that stacking two Boppy pillows on my lap, placing the baby on top, and nursing hands-free was a good solution. While working, you should feel free. (This is only effective when the child is very young. ) I wouldn't consider this arrangement safe once they've reached the stage of squirmy keyboard slapping.
