My favorite thing about this design is that spills are easily hidden from view and crumbs are easy to pick up and shake out. Until now, I've only used it on hardwood, but I'm wondering how it will perform in a carpet setting. There's a risk that it may slide a lot.

A play mat like this would be perfect under his high chair or just on the floor for him to have a designated area to play on. Sitting on it is his favorite thing to do. I have been able to prevent stains so far with this. Afterwards I put it in the wash and it came out as.

There is a big color difference between the two. The fabric seemed to be of good quality, but it had a very purple tint where it should have been.
