Mounting wheels and tires on these cars can be challenging because BMW uses lug bolts instead of lug nuts. So you cannot place your wheel on the hubs of the car with lug bolts already protruding. The only thing on the hub is the very thin edge around the center hole. This pin is placed into the holes on the hubs of the wheels, and then it is tightened. You then simply slide the wheel/tire over and onto the hub of the car by using them as guides. The third, fourth, and fifth lug bolts are started, the pins removed, and you replace them with lug bolts, and your tire is mounted even more easily than it has ever been This is a huge time saver, not to mention it's a great knee and back saver from trying to line up the wheels the old-fashioned I just can't say enough about this!.
It is absolutely necessary to remove the wheels from a Porsche with ceramic brakes if you are going to remove the When the wheel falls against a rotor, the rotor can potentially crack or break, which costs you a lot of grief and a large replacement cost. On cars without ceramic brakes, it will take you much less time and effort to remove and replace the wheels. For the wheel I am removing, I use a pair, but for the wheel I am replacing, I use just one. Keeping the wheel aligned by hanging it from a single pin is easier than trying to keep it aligned by two It has been a long time since they last visited It is well made, but you need to protect the threaded area if you want it to last.
The threads on one of my pins are not properly aligned, and it almost led to cross threading in my For the most part, there were no visible damage to the objects when I removed the tape. My decision to buy this brand was based on the fact that it was "made in the USA", but please make sure you inspect any items you purchase. The seller was contacted about my problem, but I couldn't return the item since it was beyond the 30 day return period on Amazon. That Porsche one made in Germany seems like it would be perfect for me. For someone with several hundred dollars invested in a wheel, there is no reason to risk damaging the wheel by damaging.
Mechanics simply should not be without this life-saving device. As opposed to having to fumble around trying to install a steam roller wheel and tire on what was a Pcar, this minimized the amount of time and aggravation spent lining up the spacers. You wonder why you didn't get this tool well before now. 'Br>'Br>One of those tools you wonder why you didn't get it long.
According to the description, these worked perfectly. It has been 10 years since I've said I need to order these whenever I swap out my winter and summer wheels/tire sets, but I've never ordered them because I was too lazy. The 8mm spacers provide a little lip on my GTi and it's a hassle to install the wheels with only that much lip. It's a balancing act between holding the wheel in place with my foot and threading one bolt into the hub while maintaining There's no need for me to struggle anymore! Though I have only used one, the Option to Swap Wheel Sets on my wife's VW Touareg is nice when it comes time for heavier wheel sets to be swapped. These have a rounded end that's a nice touch, and the rubber thread protectors will keep them protected while they're stored. There are little things that make a difference!.
have one of each, so I put one in each vehicle.
The tire changes are made so much easier by this device.
