In the process of removing a stud, the tire shop damaged the threads of the stud. As a result, they claimed the lug nut was installed incorrectly, so it was not their fault. The irony is not lost on anyone. A local repair shop suggested I visit and the cost to replace the stud was estimated at about $100. If you need to loosen or tighten a bolt, it's better to do this by hand before using an impact gun. It's not good practice to begin the process solely with an impact gun. Then you can use an impact gun to finish the job. Compatible with STI models of 2017. The job appears to be simple enough. There is a need to remove the wheel, the two bolts that hold the caliper in place, and Despite the hand brake assembly's small size, there is room to remove and replace the stud without taking the entire assembly apart.
By overtightening my wheels onto the studs of my 2012 Subaru Impreza, I stripped a few of the original bolts. I am completely satisfied with the replacement parts. It cost me about 15 bucks each to have them installed by a shop, but you could do it yourself to. You just have to knock the old ones out and tap the new ones in.
My 2015 Subaru was damaged by a snapped stud and this product replaced it.
I had no problems swapping this one with my previous one.
The Subaru Genuine Part was exactly as described, and it was reasonably priced.
Exactly as expected. This is a factory stud. Replaceable in only a few minutes! A hammer is all you need to set the wheel back in place once it is removed. After rotating the spindle to the relief, knock out each one one at a time. The replacement parts slide into place and I put them in final position when I turned the.
The outcome I was hoping for.
