These are excellent, especially when compared to the dreadful one that came with the car. If you have a car that needs these to attach the wheels, I strongly advise you to purchase them. They don't flex, making it much easier to put the wheels on. Since my daughter is now driving the VW, I feel better having these in the car because she can change the wheel with these instead of the plastic one that came with it.
If you're hanging tires, these make it easy. You could get by with one, but two work great, so I got a couple extra. I've seen people go to great lengths to make these, but for the price, why bother? Just get them and toss them in your box; when you use them, you'll be like, man, it's so easy to line up, no straddling tire with legs. or anything else that makes the job easier and requires less effort.
These guide pins are ideal because they are the right size for my Volvo wheels and make reinstalling them a breeze. Both should be threaded on the top. Hang the wheel from at least two lug holes. The other three lug bolts should then be replaced. Remove the two guide pins and replace the final two lug bolts once those are in place.
These wheel hangers greatly simplified the process of removing and replacing my wheels and rotors. They're long enough to make threading in and out a breeze, and they're well machined.
Do yourself a favor and get two of these if you do any work on your car that requires lug bolts rather than lug nuts.
On my Volvo V70, it works perfectly. It's much easier to put the wheels back on when you have two of them.
They make it a lot easier to put the wheels on a Mini. It also makes it easier to remove the steering wheel.
This is what I'm currently using on my Mini Cooper, and it makes removing and installing tires a breeze. I find it very convenient to keep in the car because of its small size and weight in case I need to replace a tire or repair the wheel in question. Any vehicle with lug studs would benefit from a product like this.
