Yes, one side has a standard hook, while the other allows for leverage to tighten the chains. I skipped one link and used pliers to apply the hook to ensure a snug and secure fit. Although the hooks are open rather than binder, the tension held them in place. I don't mind them staying on, but if you want to be extra cautious, you can always bend them close.
Tires and rims aren't included in the price.
They are the right size for my four children. 80 x 8. 00 tires. They ought to be a perfect fit.
