On my tires, I like my chains to be snug. These are an excellent addition to Grizzlar's chains, which only have one integrated tightener. In addition, the price is reasonable. br>br>November 2017 update: In January of 2017, I purchased these. Used for that winter season and worked fine; however, when stretching chains and tensioners for this winter season, the rubber is all cracked and breaks when reinstalling. During the spring, summer, and fall, they were kept indoors, away from direct sunlight. Rubber is of poor quality and has a short lifespan. For this season, I'm going to buy metal spring type elsewhere for roughly the same price. Rubber is a waste of time. It was only for one season. From a 5 to a 2, the rating was changed.
The hook is fine, but the band disbanded this summer. It was only ever used once.
They weren't worth the money in the first place.
This year, I wasn't able to use it.
Not recommended; the description is incorrect; it will not fit a garden tractor as claimed; the wheels are only four inches in diameter. One star is a tad excessive.
It was exactly as I had hoped - it's fantastic.
On my tractor, it nicely holds the front changes.
When I was putting the rubber binders on the chains, one of them broke. With the second, I was much more cautious, and it appears to be doing fine.
