It won't work because it's a waste of money.
The PRIMEWELD manual has a lot of flaws. The LOTOS brand also sells an essentially equivalent device, with a good LOTOS manual available online. Yes, set the dial to the maximum amps you'll ever require (or slightly more). The micro switch is activated by the first movement of the pedal, gas flow begins, and the arch is ready to begin. As you push or rock the pedal further, the amps increase to the maximum set by the dial/knob/potentiometer.
You can control the amount of current you need by depressing the foot pedal and turning the current higher (control knob) than what you actually need. The more you depress the pedal, the higher the current.

I would have ordered this sooner if I had read more positive reviews about it. The foot pedal is functional and, in my opinion, is required for tig welding thin gauge steel. If you're using smaller tungsten, you can set the maximum amperage to prevent it from burning out. It does appear to be less sensitive than a higher-end pedal, almost as if it were a car with a sloppy throttle. In the end, it saved me time and money while also improving the quality of my welds.
It's perfect for my CT520DF 3-D printer. A MULTI WELDER is a person who is capable of performing multiple tasks at the same.
It is not compatible with the PrimeWeld 50A Air Inverter Plasma Cutter, as stated in the advertisement. I may use it for something else, a project, or adapt it for use, but you're stuck with the torch button out of the box. Not only was it a waste of nearly $70, but it was also a game ender.
It really works. The pedal has a nice, even feel to it. The difference between the night and the day Love it! The amperage can be adjusted on the dial and displayed on the screen. Instantly improved my Tig skills. To move the pedal, just give it a light push. It's so much better than the other Amazon products I've tried. Which had been improperly mophorn-wired. This is a five-star rating because it works perfectly.
This is a must-have for heat control if you've never tig welded before, as I have. I use.
For daily use, it's not quite as comfortable as the other.
