Selected User Reviews For PRIMEWELD CUT60 60Amp Non-Touch Pilot Arc PT60 Torch Plasma Cutter 110V/220V Dual Voltage 3 Year Warranty

Unit of Measurement - a reasonable price - As others have mentioned, it comes well packaged, and the fit and finish on the exterior is excellent
5/5

The controls are responsive, and everything connects properly, with no loose or tight connections. br>br>The IPT-supplied IPT-supplied IPT-supplied IPT-supplied IPT-supplied IPT The 60 torch head is fairly common, and variants of it can be found on a variety of plasma cutters from different manufacturers. brands. It comes in a variety of stacks, including drag tips, so make sure you know what you need and order the right parts when ordering/purchasing consumables. There are also parts/consumables for the torch head available that are made in Italy and appear to be of higher quality than the Chinese offerings. br>br>Keep in mind that the torch head is the bit that will see the most action and will be subjected to the most abuse, especially when cutting thicker/harder materials. Blowback of intense heat and slag/dross while cutting thick materials will drastically reduce the life of the consumables and stack, as well as take a toll on the rest of the torch head. If you do decide to replace the torch, make sure the connections are the same, as not all manufacturers use the same machine interface. br>br>These machines, like the CUT50, are mass-produced and based on a more-common design. With minor variations on the controls/ports and cosmetic differences on the outer cases, this platform is less standardized and shared among a number of brands. The advantage is that it is a tried and true platform with a high degree of predictability in terms of performance. Internal parts should be relatively common and inexpensive, but similar does not always imply identical. Some brands may choose the most basic specifications and components for their units, or even use factory seconds for internals, resulting in machines that are essentially disposable. Most of the time, you'll get a shoddy unit with poor to non-existent quality. customer service and support are non-existent, and it's a major hassle, or you'll run into a brick wall dead-end. If you run into a problem, put an end to it. This emphasizes the importance of selecting a brand, which leads me to my final point and the primary reason for my 5-star rating of this brand. br>br>As others have mentioned, and as I can now attest to, Primeweld is customer-focused; I had some issues, and they were quick to respond and resolve everything. They had gone way overboard. and-beyond what I could have imagined, to a degree that you don't see very often these days. To be honest, their customer service goes above and beyond what I would expect from such a high-end brand. similar capable unit from a different manufacturer, priced in the /- range $3,000 range, and those can have a lot of issues out-of-the-box. the- box too. I literally can't express how impressed I was with how they handled my problem and their determination to solve it. I would do business with them again without hesitation, and I will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone. br>br>Finally, I wish they had more parts, accessories, and consumables available on their own site, or at the very least more information and recommendations for replacements/suppliers. And, of course, obtaining a new copy of the manual. It would be nice if the manual was translated into a more English-like English, but there isn't much to worry about in the manual. The fundamental functions are straightforward and easy to understand. forward-thinking, as well as the must-dos Common-sense safety dos and don'ts are sufficient. In any case, a simple owner's manual isn't going to cover the finer points of technique and such. br>br>I hope this information is useful to some people. If it does, please let us know. Thanks.

This machine is fantastic! The machine was tested on a 220V power supply
5/5

Advantages: br>br> br>Excellent strength. It smashed 1/8" CS plate with ease at 60 amps. br>Long-reach high-quality torch with extra electrode and nozzle includedbr>The machine's build quality is excellent, far superior to that of other Chinese machines I've seen. br>Includes CNC port on machine and adapter plugbr>Pricebr>Customer service was excellent. I had emailed them ahead of time with some questions, and they responded the next morning. br>Quick delivery. In three days, I had my machine.
PT- A wide range of tips are available for the 60 torch. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>The user manual isn't very good. It was not written in English by a native speaker. Fortunately, there isn't much to learn, and you can get help from the customer service team if necessary. br>The earth lead is about half the length of the torch, and the clamp works fine but has a cheap feel to it. Because of the low amperage of plasma, you don't need welding quality, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a nice heavy copper one anyway. br>I haven't used the brush or the face shield, but they appear to be functional but of poor quality. Notes: br>br>
1. The plasma cutter's supply pressure should be between 100 and 150 psi. 120 psi.
2. To set pressure, pull out the regulator knob. To lock the door, push it all the way in. There is an air set switch that allows you to set the pressure according to the actual flow rate. The machine's regulator should be set to 55 degrees Fahrenheit. 75 psi. Psi, amps, and cut speed are suggested for thickness in the back of the instruction manual.
3. It is necessary for the air to be clean and dry. Mine goes through a 40 micron filter with oil and water separation, then a home-made desiccant dryer, and finally a Motor Guard D-type filter. 13 plasma filter is set to zero. To get anything that's left, use a micron of less than 1 micron. This appears to be an excellent solution.
4. Tec Torch User's Guide For the PT-I, Mo recommends a 45-second post-flow. To provide adequate cooling, use a 60 torch.
5. The included tip and standoff are great for smooth metal, but not so much for textured metal. The drag shield tip or the extended shield tip will work best on a rough surface. Take a look at the advantages of PT- For additional information, dial 60.
6. Tips come in a variety of amp ratings. At 60 amps, the included 60 amp tip works best. To minimize heat transfer and warping when working with thin materials, a lower-rated tip is ideal.
7. The machine is ten inches long. (W) 5 in. x 20 in. (D) 5 in. x 16 in. H: 75 in. It was the ideal size for my Vulcan welding cart. br>8. I can't believe it's been so long since I've had one. If you're thinking about doing something with metal, it's well worth it. br>br>If anyone has any further questions, I have more photos.

Buy it! It's a fantastic machine with a fantastic price tag! I've worked in the fabrication industry for 20 years and have used all of the major brands; I'd put this one up there with any of them
5/5

The only issue I have is with consumables and their availability and support. I won't be able to go to my local welding shop and get replacements; instead, I'll need to keep my home shop well stocked. br>br>This thing sped through 1/2" like it wasn't even there! I also purchased the Primeweld 225 tig, which is fantastic; I can't say enough good things about the customer service; I had a problem with the welder (my fault), and I received a response on a Saturday evening! br>br>Update 1/28/20br>Had a minor problem with the air hose in the torch, which had come loose. I was expecting a clamp or something to fix it, but I contacted Primeweld, and they had a replacement torch on its way to me in minutes! This business is fantastic! br>br>The consumables I ordered arrived, and they fit: 20 pieces 52582 Electrode 51313 Tip Nozzle 1. IPT-0 mm Plasma Cutter Torch 60 PT60.
