The red and brown cases of the LTP5000D were given the same model number, LTP5000D, by Lotos. However, the consumables are not the same. When buying consumables, pay attention to the title of the description. They will not fit the brown case LTP5000D if it does not specifically state "brown color. " br>br>As of this writing, there are four sets of consumables for the brown case LTP5000D available on Amazon. The metal stand off is included in one type, but not in the other. There are 22 or 33 pieces in each of the two types. br>Here's the set with the standoff:.
On the inside, where it attaches to the torch, the threads were stripped. To keep it in place, I used a piece of electrical tape. It didn't matter, because after lightly grazing it with a wire brush, it broke in half. Yes. I understand that they're all a little fragile, but come on. Let's all get to know Reality. They sold me factory seconds or rejects with the expectation that I wouldn't notice until 30 days later. Yep. They were successful in capturing me. br>br> After Amazon no longer holds them accountable, the seller has become unresponsive. My assumption is that - The seller will close this account and open a new one with a different name soon.
They're a bit pricey when you consider how frequently they have to be replaced. The electrodes are in excellent condition. They are a little more durable than the tips. Basically, every time you swap two nozzles, you'll have to replace an electrode. The cups are extremely delicate, but they are made of ceramic, so that's to be expected. That's why I bought this set in the first place. My stinger shattered the cup when it fell off my work table and hit the concrete. For a few days until these arrived in the mail, I used JB weld to keep it together. They're good in general. As long as your settings on the unit are where they should be, they'll do the job and make clean cuts. I just wish the price was a little lower or that there were a few more pieces included.
Copper tips are the ones I use the most. I wish they sold them separately so I wouldn't have to throw away parts. Although I purchased a less expensive machine, the cost of consumables is prohibitive. I would have chosen a more expensive cutter and been able to purchase separate consumables if I had known what a rip-off buying these groups of parts would be. Before you buy a cutter, do some research on it and look into the consumables and how they are sold.
These aren't brass, and they don't come with the two porcelain insulators shown in the photo. I'm going to send these back.
My plasma cutter's consumables. It was exactly what we needed.
This is a great deal. The consumables designed for their plasma cutter are extremely expensive.
One was all that was required. I had to buy a set.
