Selected User Reviews For Lotos PCS Plasma Cutter Consumables Sets for Brown Color LTP5000D and Brown Color LTPDC2000D (33 Pieces)
I bought the 77-piece set because the smaller sets were too expensive, and this is my first time using a plasma torch; I've always cut with an acetylene/oxygen torch. As I gain proficiency in this process, my consumables last longer. Regarding the reviewer's cone that caught fire, I'm not sure what material that was made of; mine are ceramic with pressed-in brass threads. The only difference between this set and the one that came with the machine is the brass threads; I've already done a few cuts with the new consumables and they cut exactly like OEM. The importance of the ground in the process cannot be overstated. When the ground is bad, no plasma cutter will work well. On mine, I removed the cover and the ground screw (which was not very tight), filed away the powder coat underneath it, and reinstalled the ground screw very tightly. I had about 30 feet of 2 ground cable on hand, so I made a new ground cable to match the torch's length. The ground clamp was replaced with an HF 2nd tier ground clamp (which is actually quite good). Before cutting, you should always check the connections throughout the ground, and then once or twice a year, depending on how much you use it. On both sides of the HF clamp, the hardware was loose. Simply make a few small cuts, turn off the machine, and check all of your ground connections for heat. If any of them are hot, they should be avoided. That's a bad connection, and it needs to be fixed as soon as possible.
Another $60 has been added. 00 in replacement parts was lost. I'm not going to purchase any more electronic tools or parts from Amazon. period. I waste far too much time and money on defective tools and parts that aren't what they claim to be.
The cup is made of a different material entirely. The original is made of ceramic, while this is made up of layers of something. It literally caught fire after only 15 seconds of use, wtf. It's unsafe and unusable, and it's past my return window.
I'm not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to order this. In my other, more expensive Plazma cutter, I blew a mother board. The board was $800, and there was no explanation from the manufacturer as to why it blew. So I ordered it along with an extension cord, a 3 prong 220 adapter plug, and additional consumables. It arrived, I unpacked it, and got to work. 2 1/4 inch plates were used for the first cut. It blew right through it with no issues. In the first three days that I've had it, I've completed two jobs. I'm able to say that I'm 100% happy. You don't know how to use a plazma cutter if you give a bad review. I'm not going to lie, this little thing is incredible; I'm only using 220 volts, and I fabricate and weld for a living.
These are replacement parts for the BROWN LTP5000D plasma cutter. Take advantage of the opportunity to stock up!.
They were the only ones that were appropriate. I needed consumables for my brown LTP5000D, and these were the only ones that fit. The threads aren't the same as the ones that everyone else sells for less money. The older brown LTP5000D will not fit the ones with the pink cups.
They appear to last about half as long as the cutter's original. Maybe I'm cutting more, or maybe there's water in my line, or maybe I'm just being more picky now. They're inexpensive, but it appears that the tips are quickly deteriorating.
They aren't Lotus-branded; I believe they are OEM, but I'm not sure how to tell. They're a little on the pricey side, but they're effective.
