Hypertherm has developed a unique design. Remove the tip from your Hypertherm and compare it to the image above. The electrode on yours should be threaded.

Hypertherm consumables always outlast Thermal Dynamics, and Hypertherm equipment is significantly less expensive. Because of the low price, I decided to give these a try, and they've outlasted the factory garbage so far. I'm blown away; don't be afraid to give it a shot, in my opinion.
Because there are fewer orifices than on the OEM, it does not appear to work as well.
In my Thermal Dynamics A80, it works great, but I wish jack and Dave had 40 amp. I wish I had the ability to trade.
My husband is a welder, and he was very pleased with the finished product.
There are no issues.
