This is not CCA; it is pure copper. When you see OFC copper wire, it is typically used in higher-end audio systems. When you see OFC copper wire, it's usually in a higher-end audio system or in a car. And most car audio wire has a higher strand count, making it more flexible. This is copper, not aluminum.

This wire looked great right out of the package, but when I tried to use it for an audio installation, I discovered it wasn't true 4 gauge. It's a gauge that's somewhere between 4 and 8. My four-gauge connectors are all far too large to fit.

I'm overjoyed that I found out about welding cable/wire for car audio applications. Welding cable/wire works in a similar way. in exchange for a significantly lower price. The cost of an equivalent OFC "car audio" cable would range from $10 to $20. an extra $15 For the less expensive brands, this is the case. $40- If it says "Rockford Fosgate" on it, it'll cost you an additional $50. So, as far as I'm concerned, this is an excellent deal. br>br>The cable is quite heavy. It has a lead-like feel to it - Nonetheless, it is extremely adaptable. It is simple to work with. I switched from a 4 awg CCA to this OFC wire for my amplifier power cable. I was able to tell the difference right away. For lack of a better term, the sound is "cleaner. " Much more stuffed Now, there's a lot of bass! with the rest of the circumstances remaining the same Now that I've seen the difference, I'm switching all of my car audio cables to OFC. Insulation is pleasant to the senses, and it has a distinct odor. The overall diameter of the cable is a little smaller than the one I normally order. I needed to replace my old 4 awg cable in my car in order to support a larger amplifier, so I did some research and found some nice OFC cable here. I've got 25 feet of 4 awg and 50 feet of 2 awg here, and all I have to say is wow. My old 4 gauge wire was probably no bigger than 8 awg. I'm getting closer to my OFC 10 awg speaker wire that I purchased! br>br>So, this cable is very simple to work with; the outer casing is rubbery and cuts very well with a sharp blade. This cable's quality and WEIGHT have left me very impressed. I've learned the difference between true cable and fake cable. Cables from the "Amp Kit" for a low price. You will not be let down! I had to use a reducer on my 4 awg cable to connect it to my Rockford amp, which is designed to accept 4 awg cable!.
This is a fantastic product that I will purchase again. It is quite heavy for its size, but it is entirely made of copper.
It's difficult to find genuine copper wire. It's what I use on smaller boats with smaller engines. Larger boats will require a larger wire, but it works perfectly for outboards with 200 horsepower and V6 inboards. All I have to do now is run 6 feet. Or so . I'd make it bigger with longer runs, and I'd buy it again. It's also a good value.
